247 has Sherrell listed in the portal so he must have sent in his paperwork. Guess Nate couldn't talk him out of it.

Maybe he doesn't want to play in this offense anymore. Not being given much of a chance/reason to develop an inside game.

Bediako was given pick and roll dunk looks and lobs. We did it all the time with Cliff.

Sherrell wasn’t because he isn’t explosive. We’re not going to waste possessions on post touches when he can’t convert.

Why would he care about that when the NBA doesn’t do that anymore.

I am hoping for older guys that have established themselves as proven commodities, even if mid-major guys. I don't want guys with potential. I want older guys who have already shown what they can do.

If you want upperclassmen who have been productive against major conference competition across multiple seasons it won't be cheap. Unless we suddenly bump our NIL funds significantly our market is largely going to be young, talented, and unproven or experienced and productive, but at a lower level of competition. I wish we'd give him enough money to go sign one proven, major conference starter every year, but I'm not holding my breath on that. I'll be thankful if we just keep increasing the money to keep us where we are at as the market invariably goes up like it does in every other professional league.

FWIW: verbal commits has Sherrell and Bethea listed as “Intent to transfer” whereas TBB and Martin are listed as “ Transferred”

He will be good here. That whole team was a disaster Pope didn’t know how to use him. Can really shoot the basketball. Will be more like Biz and JQ and less like Bethea IMO.
