Looks like Allen is going to get a late first round grade. Hopefully we have enough NIL money left to entice him back with hopes of being a lottery pick next year

That's about where Philon was...him being more of an athletic guard than a forward probably helps deflate his value enough that our NIL fund can make it happen.

The only thing that worries me is, like others have said, he opted out of the combine scrimmage. Could mean nothing. But you’d think he’d play in it to try to play his way higher.

Flip side of that coin is he could choose not to scrimmage BECAUSE he is ok coming back to Alabama. Basically “you have tape on me, you know my measurables and I’ve worked out for teams. Either give me a mid 1st round promise or I’ll just go back to college”

I'll say, looking around online to see what people are saying about Allen, his measurements took a big hit to his draft stock. Especially with him playing more wing than guard.

I'm hoping he isn't scrimmaging because with his size, teams want to see him run point. And with the guards in this class, he isn't going to get much opportunity. So hopefully he's heard enough from teams, he's decided to return and showcase his ability to run an offense.

Have no clue what he will do, but him
not playing the scrimmages does seem odd. He’s the kind of the player the scrimmages are made of for. Go show what you can do and try to move up.

He’s probably coming back. He just wanted to do team interviews.

If all he’s looking for his first round, I think he’ll get that.

Apparently, he just hit a 42.5" vertical.

Whoa I had no idea he could get up like that.

Gone.

It suggests he's an explosive enough athlete to be a multi-level scorer as an NBA guard though. A guard who can apply rim pressure is a bit of a commodity. Different from the 2 way wing he was thought to be, but it's still something he can hang his hat on. It's just a matter of whether someone is convinced enough that he can actually do it. Hopefully they all want to see it in practice instead of just in theory.

I don’t think he’s shown a guard’s skill set to the degree NBA teams expect. If the plan to play him at point here, I think he should do that instead. Do what Philon did and improve the jumper.

If he has to play guard he's not ready. His shot right now is too inconsistent

He's going to have to be a guard because he'd be an undersized, slightly, SF in the NBA.

This is why I think he comes back. He's definitely be a guard for Alabama in 2026-27. He's probably going to be the point guard.

Since he's going to be initiating offense more in the NBA, he needs to demonstrate that he can distribute the ball instead of looking for his own basket. His handle needs to improve. 3pt shot too.

He's literally already outside of the proposed 5 year window. What a joke.

I rather lose in 32 than resort to that.
