Sports are games about probabilities. The rules changed to favor the offense, and we decided to go backwards because we got soft. If you’re a team that can get 10yds on any given play, then you only need 1/3 plays to be successful. If you are a team trying to grind a team for 4 yds every play, then you need 3/3 plays to be successful every set of downs. You don’t change your scheme back to the stone-age to stop being soft…you just tweak the modern scheme and change the culture back to wanting to dominate every play regardless of the scheme.
Saban literally told Josh Pate that he could win championships with 30 different coordinators if the team had the right mindset. Thought that was a pretty naive statement, especially after how bad our coordinators were last year. scheme matters

I don’t put this on the defense at all. They were pretty good, got put in a bad spot by some awful offensive plays.

I’m a basketball only gump now for the most part but it’s sad to see you fellas realize what I realized several years ago about the decline.

Kinda surprised we didn't see a series of Buchner or Simpson. This entire week of practice needs to be a QB competition.

I think the band of offense that Saban wants is not what we need. Jalen doesn't fit in this system... We need to change systems or change QB.

Defense got stoned at the LOS. Texas OL owned them the whole game. What game were you watching?

I count myself blessed to be one of the chosen few to attend the Capstone from 08-12. That run will never be replicated.

As long as Milroe is the starting QB I will not watch them again. Hopefully he turns it around but I have little faith

Stress free Saturdays going forward. I had trepidations going in about if wed be good or not. Felt we could've been good. But we got a bad roll on literally every unit except for probably TE.

The SEC is down this year. I definitely think we can get to 10 wiins. We just need to change...a lot.
Plus, I feel like we're only going to get better. Losing a non-conference game sucks, and is inexcusable, but in the grand scheme of things, it doesn't really matter.
Win the SEC and we make the CFP.

I think you have to give Buchner or Simpson an extended look next week against South Fla before you hit conference play
