Jalen Milroe lost this game. It was the defense. Any other qb we have had would have jumped us up by 10-17. That would have killed Texas momentum. But we didn’t. Milroe kept putting us in awful situations. O line and qb should all be open competition.

The defense is better under Steele. Golding got his lunch ate in New Orleans today.

I agree, there were frequently open receivers, Jalen either didn’t see them or wouldn’t pull the trigger.

The defense is good enough.
Is it? Our offense left the field with a lead (just like in the 2016 NC game), and we lost.

I agree. Just so many examples of how a bad pass can make a play call look like crap

Milroe is the problem. When he missed a wide open Jase on what would've been a definite TD you just knew he's not the guy.

Agreed. We had like 3 TDs left on the field.

If our O-Line can’t step up to the challenge, and quickly, it won’t matter who the QB is.
ETA: even with a more balanced o-line, I’d prefer a less physically capable guy if he can make more than one read as opposed to Jalen.

It was definitely both.

Just watching the Cal QB make decent throws

How does Cal have a better QB than us?

It's confusing because Saban INSISTED this was an open quarterback competition and that NOBODY is entitled to being a starter. And yet he lets Milroe go out the entire game and play like complete shite?

We got a quarterback.
His name is Ty Simpson.

I don't know. 4 needs shorter quicker throws ..backs in the flat ..make the d chase. BAMA had nothing.. But down field throws to a single read guy. That crucial conversion to 11. That UT lb started sprinting that way because that's exactly were 4 was looking.

I think it's about time the GOAT hangs it up. There comes a time......
