What an absolute clown. If that all really happened I’m glad they just dropped him off the roster without even saying anything to him.

It sucks man. You heard rumblings that he was a head case during his recruitment but we didn't wanna believe them because he was the best the recruiter and Alabama advocate of that 2021 signing class. Hopefully he can get his frickin act together wherever it is.

So strange. Guy had all the signs of a problem child. He committed. Everyone said it wouldn’t stick and he’d shuffle his commitment between 3 or 4 schools before it was over. He didn’t. Post-commitment his recruitment was totally drama free. Great commit. Recruited other guys. Said all the right stuff.
He gets on campus in January. No issues. Great camp and spring game.
Then Fall camp hits and all hell breaks loose and it hasn’t resolved since. Guy went basically a full calendar year of being a total non-issue and now has gone another near full calendar year of being Arik Gilbert 2.0.
Really strange.
Also his dad is a nut case too so not shocking in the end I guess.

I’m going to wait until something “officially” comes from the school regarding his status. To me, he comes off as very immature and it hasn’t sunk in that he is a “small fish” in the big pond!
Our PR people have been known to make mistakes in the past, deleting when they should’ve been editing. It could be something that simple and it could be that Hall did reach out to other schools about visiting without letting the staff know. I seriously doubt though that if he has been booted, he found out via Twitter.

We should learn more soon - Coach Saban is scheduled to meet with the media today (I think for a regularly scheduled press conference). If he doesn’t address it in his opening remarks, it will probably be the first question he gets.

out of curiosity, i wonder if the immediate removal of his name from the roster had more to do with compliance than his being kicked off the team? i have no idea what type situation this put the compliance part of football in when a player does something like this, does anyone else know?
