Makes sense after that player came out and said Texas has a generation of locker room issues with guys more interested in partying and women than winning.

I think Hall is the early indication of a kid thinking about his NIL/branding needs as it relates to early Playing time. It Directly clashes with the Bama's formula of increase your value thru the development process that been the foundation of the program.
I also believe even if he had played big-time in the title game, he was still going to leave to go were he had more freedom to market his brand.Saban warned about this early on with NIL and hence of late he saban said " we need a plan across the board were it doesn't build animosity among players ".
