A reason to hope we completely destroy Indiana…

Check this out, from one of their boards

“It all comes down to the jimmy and joes, and I don’t see many players on Alabama that would start over our guys. On the offensive side of the ball, not a single one.

We are the big bad bully on the block now. I want IU to cave Alabama in to where DeBoer might seriously get canned, and to the point where Kirk “SEC” can pose the question of if Alabama even belonged on the field as the bubble team” - end

Lol.
Indiana is having a great year, no doubt - but they are anything but the “bully” on the block. They will never be what we were with Saban (which I reference because we were in fact the bullies on the block for over several years).

Heather Dinich is an IU alumnus. That’s enough for me. I absolutely can’t stand her.

That's got to be from their subreddit right? You get tons of morons with terrible takes on that platform.

One of my cousins played for Indiana years ago and even he isn't cosigning that.

I browsed through the college football reddit and saw a lot of "Alabama will need a miracle to keep it within three scores"-type takes. You just have to take fan talk for what it is - 99% lobotomite thinking.

That said, Indiana is a solid team and we go through very long stretches of not being able to get out of our own way / being ranked #1 I'm frustrating play. Plenty of potential for this to go very badly. But I like our chances if Ty can miss a couple fewer wide open guys and dial in his accuracy a bit... or if our receivers can actually catch the ones that do get to them. That's just playing football against teams with a pulse in this era of the game though - hard as frick to predict what you're going to see.

I think they will be rusty and the Hoosiers will be down by 10 or 14 early and Bama will keep the hammer down. After the game we will all say the game wasn't as close as the score as the back ups give up a garbage score or two.

You’d think Indiana fans might be a little more humble considering their history. Despite the era of football Alabama just went through, I’ll always be weary. I can’t help but approach it like it’s still 2000-2006.

Indiana is a good team deserving of being #1 but they barely beat Iowa and Penn State. They blew a lot of bad teams out. They are very good but not a juggernaut. We could easily beat them or lose by double digits. We both beat Wisconsin by 24.

I just remember Utah in the Sugar Bowl. Different situation entirely. I get that. But Alabama and Utah are not the same programs in any way. But we got the living shite beat out of us that night. Indiana is not a traditional football powerhouse. But they could easily kick our asses if we aren’t prepared well.

It’s basically going to come down to UGA/OU/Tennessee/etc.

Talent alone could win us the game but we need to be able to execute. This is not as high of a hill to trudge as Georgia

I think Indiana is a very good, very well-coached team.

They are no juggernaut.
