Young man's got 4 pitches. Seemed confident on the mound, striking out the side.

I'd prefer to lose in this fashion than blow one in the ninth, or lose a close game. The team will chalk this one up to it simply wasn't their night and rebound well in ATL. Fried not inspiring much confidence now with two poor starts... can't say I'm looking forward to his next outing. First game in ATL is gonna be muy importante

Houston is just a bad matchup for Fried.....probably the worst team for him to face

Fried has to bury that spinner at the back foot of the right handed hitters.
He needs to work on throwing that slider to right handed hitters and lose his fear to bust righties inside. His fastball is more than good enough. His problem is that he tries to strike every hitter out.
He needs to pitch to contact more. Inside heaters to righties and the slider at the back foot as an out pitch. And throw that fricking change up in any count.

Bro-in-law just offered me a cheap ticket for Saturday. I've had plans for a while now to go to Nashville to see my gf who lives up there, and we have concert tickets at the Ryman on Saturday night. frick.

We are wearing the Red Jerseys tommorow.
I think we have only wore them 1 other time in the postseason(also against Houston)
Edit: we also wore them vs the Giants in the Brooks Conrad game.

The Braves have one of the most universally loved / classic uniforms of all time yet refuse to wear them. Would have been much more appropriate to wear the classics having lost Hank this year, but beside that they are the best looking uniforms the Braves have... wear them !
