I absolutely hate this newish philosophy of pulling a guy before the 3rd time through. If a guy is dealing leave him in. Its stupid.

Can you imagine Bobby Cox trying to pull Glavine, Maddux, or Smoltz throwing a no-hitter through 5 on 76 pitches? In the World Series no less?

And it may work out. But you had a starter who was dealing and had at least 2 more innings in him and you have a self confessed couple of bullpen games coming up and now you're burning through bullpen arms.

I'm agreeing with you.
It is idiocy to not be able to see that Anderson still had gas in the tank.
The only reason to bring him out there is if you plan on pitching him on short rest, but that pokes holes in Snit's statement about only worrying about Game 3.
