Man what a fun game last night other than losing Morton (dang). I’m hoping to see Max come out attacking and let the defense do their thing.

Do these umps rotate around the National and American Leagues throughout the season or primarily work only one league?

A 1-2 vs a 2-1 count can make such a huge difference in a baseball game depending on the batter and situation. A called strike 3 on a ball outside the zone obviously can literally decide a game... why is this still a thing ? Let the umpire stand back there and call plays at the plate, balks, etc. but with the ability to call a perfect strike zone for both teams WTF are we still allowing a dude who doesn't play for either team possibly have the largest impact on who wins a game/series. All they need is to put the strike zone on the jumbotron so everyone in the stadium can see it, and let the umpire call the balls and strikes right off the screen so the pitcher and batter continue to receive the count like they always have. No arguing from the benches, no arguing batters, no pitchers in a huff, no getting screwed over in crucial moments- just a better version of the same game we all love.

And dont bring me any "it's part of the game" bullshite.

I will be so much more comfortable when the series gets to Atlanta. That Lineup with that Short porch in LF just makes me nervous at all times.

I thought the Dodger lineup was good....the Astros lineup is much scarier

The Astros 8/9 hitters though are not scary but yea, your point stands, 1-7 is crazy good.

Yeah but their pitching staff is nowhere near as good as the dodgers, and as we all saw last night anybody that wants to have a slugfest vs the Braves are going to have a tough time. Braves can definitely hit the Longball.

I will say though they seem to have a no-fly zone in their centerfield area... couple balls that were cranked to center last night couldn't get out.

They used to be assigned to one league, but that hasn't been the case in like 20 years.

home team has lost last 10 on it's home field in the WS. That's nuts.

As a very casual baseball/braves fan (usually don't pay for cable in the summer), I agree 100%. If bad calls are a tradition, it's a bad tradition.

That whole ballpark is just a weird configuration. Right seems so shallow, center is way deep, and left is shallow but has that huge wall. Strange

It’s the field you create in “Create a Stadium” on a video game. Super fun, wacky dimensions for playing games on an Xbox… terrible for real life games

+1.6 runs for a team in a World Series game is fricking atrocious.

#1 and #2 were fricking outrageously bad, and #3 bailed out a frazzled pitcher in a huge situation and then forced Riley to swing and the next 2 in the same spot.

Just awful.

The overall accuracy wasn't bad, but when he missed a call it was always in a high leverage situation and always benefitted Houston. But this a-hole will get a postseason assignment again next year. Because MLB has zero control over the umpire union.

Tucker Davidson replaces Charlie Morton on Braves’ World Series roster. Dang, I didn't see that one coming or realize he's healthy.

Interesting.

Kid was great at one point. I'm still baffled how Touki with his possibly dominant arsenal if he's "on" isn't on the roster instead of Martin for RHP relief ? Especially with Touki possibly able to provide 2-3 innings which appears to be worth its weight in gold in the playoffs. Is Kyle Muller injured ? That dude was nasty when healthy.
