Multiple sources are reporting that Ole Miss quarterback Shea Patterson has been granted his release to transfer to another school but with some restrictions.

Shea is not allowed to transfer to any SEC schools or teams that the Rebels will play within the next two years.

Non-SEC schools on Ole Miss' schedule for the next two season include:

Texas Tech
Southern Illinois
Kent State
Louisiana-Monroe
Memphis
Southeastern Louisiana
Cal
New Mexico State

Where do you think Patterson will end up?

Ole piss is so dumb. They don’t decide that. The NCAA does in this situation! He can transfer anywhere and get a waiver from the NCAA

You might be correct but just think how long it would take the NCAA to actually make a ruling. Im pretty sure he is planning to be at that school next semester.

Has to do with eligibility. Because the 2 year bowl ban doesn't stop him from playing in a bowl his senior year, I believe he has to request permission.

only applies to seniors

"Where could do you think Patterson will end up?" Who proofs Larry's shite... Will be interesting to say the least. So the 2 best QBs from the 2016 recruiting class are highly likely to be on the "open market"... I'm assuming Eason goes to Washington for now... Not sure on Patterson... tOSU? What is their bench situation right now?

I agree, only want young at LSU who want to be here, he wasn't one with enough chest for LSU apparently. Wish him well wherever he goes though.
user avatar
Agree with you both. Wish we had never accepted Mettenberger. Huge mistake, right??? Whatever.

Just sit in that dump of a Juco and go to LSU. They'll show him how to throw a career away.

If he transfers, and wants to play power 5 next year, my money would be on Texas or TCU.

La Tech to guaranty a starting spot, as they need a good QB right now. He racks up a bunch of stats in that system (because that is prob all he cares about) over the next 2 seasons, and then gets drafted in 3rd-4th round, and starts getting paid. His mission is completed.

Tom Brady was 6th round. Shea is a 5th round QB.

He should sue Ole Miss and go anywhere he wants.
user avatar
Well he could go the Juco route and then select any team.

Harbaugh can get him to the Outback Bowl.........maybe
