Dear OLE MISS
You absolute clowns are straight-up delusional morons.
What you idiots are too scared to admit is that the Kiffin portal wizardry—the only thing propping up your pathetic little program—is OVER. Done. Kaput.
That endless stream of top transfers? Gone with him to Baton Rouge, along with half your offensive staff and any recruits who aren't blind loyalists to a sinking ship.
Deep down, you know Golding's a defensive coordinator at best, a glorified assistant who's about to get exposed hard. He's not maintaining jack shite—your "success" was a rented miracle, and now the bill's due. You're heading straight back to irrelevance, fighting for 8-win seasons in that tiny-arse joke of a stadium.
This terrifies the living hell out of you idiots, doesn't it? Your one fleeting moment in the sun, poof—snatched away because Kiffin saw Oxford for the dead-end backwater it is and bolted for a real powerhouse.
Meanwhile, LSU's thrilled to snag Kiffin, the transfers that'll flock to him (including plenty raiding your crumbling roster), and the elite high school blue-chips we already dominate. He'll rack up multiple CFP trips at LSU, maybe even hoist a natty or two—something your program will never sniff again. And yeah, he won't retire here; why would he? But when he bounces for the NFL or wherever, we'll just drop another blank check on the next big-name coach from some playoff team, like we always do. Money's no object in Baton Rouge—unlike your cheap-arse boosters.
So go ahead, get exposed hard in that Sugar Bowl by Georgia like the frauds you are—Golding's in over his head, and everyone knows it. Hang your cute little "CFP participant" banner next to zero titles, and pretend this 2025 fluke wasn't your absolute peak. No one outside your sad little fanbase gives a damn, and nobody ever will take it away from you—because it's all you'll ever have. Hotty Totty, bitches.
Enjoy the irrelevance. Geaux Tigers.
You put way too much effort into writing this.

re: Does anyone actually prefer the playoffs over BCS
Posted by JOHNN on 12/19/25 at 10:47 am to JamalMurry27
The bigget issue I had with the BCS setup was that it always rewarded teams that lost early in the season (and then won as the season went on) and always hurt the teams that won early on but had a loss late in the season. At least with the playoffs they will look at the entirety of the season vs a computer system that was skewed bc of when teams lost.

Even if they had actually voted for him to come back, it means frick all. “What the players want” is rarely a good route to go down for the program long term.
Thats how Golding was hired right away

He left to go to a rival school instead of staying to finish what he started
This doesnt compute. Why do OM fans keep saying LSU is their rival?? The days of Billy Cannons run are well in the past....

You can love a school and still go coach at another. If Kiffin planned to retain him, he would still be here. But since he isnt being retained, he had to find work elsewhere. Whats so hard to understand about that?
quote:
I wouldn’t be shocked if Joe pulled and Andrew Luck and retired young. He sounded like he wasn’t in a good space in his press conference this week.
I think that as much as he loves the city and fans, he's coming to the realization that if he wants to be able to walk once he retires, he will have no choice but to go play elsewhere.
quote:
It amazes me that we have posters on this board that believe LSU can just throw money at kids and that is all there is to recruiting now. You still have to make a connection with a kid as well as a coach needing to evaluate whether or not their talent meets criteria to know if they will be a PITA and not worth paying.
Its the same way in sales. When I come across people that instantly want to talk price and then only care about if its cheaper than what they are paying, I dont consider them a true customer bc I know they will probably jump at the next lower offer. Recruits that ONLY care about money are the ones that will jump at the next higher offer even if its a worse opportunity in the long-run.

He seems desperate tbh
O holding out his poor man's cup asking for donations.
This seems like the same logic OM fans had about Lane and being on College Gameday.
-Announced he would be on Gameday: "Lane is just doing whatever he can to make this about him"
-Announced he wont be on Gameday: "He got word that it wouldnt just be layup questions so be bailed".
O talks about going back to doing what he has done his entire adult life and then it becomes "he's desperate to get back into coaching"....

People like to always mention the Hunter catastrophe but he wouldnt be coaching edge rushers. So Im not real sure what the issue would be. Wasnt he also who coached the majority of the great DL's we had under Les like Pep Levingston, Michael Brockers, Drake Nevis, etc?

2 questions
1) Why exactly is the RB Coach with the NOLA connections crucial to the OL/DL from Erwinville committing?
2) Assuming #1 is correct, how has LSU allowed one if it's assistant coaches to basically become a "handler" for multiple recruits and control the outcome?
As the recruiting coordinator, Frank has pretty much always handled the NOLA area plus any high profile recruits.
