UCLA Packed Up And Left Hours Before Telling NC State They Weren't Playing In Holiday Bowl
© Kirby Lee-USA TODAY Sports
Hours before yesterday's kickoff between NC State and UCLA in the Holiday Bowl, the Bruins announced they were decimated with covid numbers, packed up and pulled out. However, they never told NC state they were doing so...

NC State head coach Dave Doeren was furious...
quote:

"Felt lied to, to be honest. We felt like UCLA probably knew something was going on with their team and didn't tell anyone on our side. We had no clue they were up against that. I don't think it was very well-handled from their university." - Yahoo Sports

Hope they counted it as a forfeit. NC State continues to get screwed in postseason sports this year.

Their basketball team wimped out on UNC so we got the pleasure of beating that arse instead. This is about as low as it gets. I feel for NC State fans travelling across country, their team prepping and for some a last chance to play for their school. Of course no time to bring in another team. It should be a forfeit and NC State gets the trophy.

Why are y’all blaming UCLA & Chip? The issue is these bs COVID restrictions.

Did you read this? Why did they not tell them until hours before the game was about to start? That has nothing to do with covid rules, that's all on UCLA's unprofessional arse.

JustinT37, thanks for notifying everyone that you’re uneducated and lack any kind of critical thinking. Read a book, dude. You’re truly embarrassing.

You should care. That is pisspoor by UCLA. If you spent money to go see whatever favorite team you root for you I’d be mad if the game cancelled the of.

Chip Kelly is the most over-rated coach in the history of college football. All you have to do is look at his record against Top 25 teams as a college coach. IT IS HORRIBLE?

Now didn't NC State have to forfeit in the CWS last spring when they couldn't field a team? Same standard doesn't apply?

I feel for the NC state people. Duck UCLA people, they are commies. The NC fans flew across the country, rented hotels, maybe rented cars, probably took pto or time off work and they get this? That is some lame shite.
