Has A&M produce anything at WR since Mike Evans?

Most of the kids that go there fizzle out, because it’s an obvious money grab
Only other really good one was Christian Kirk. Josh Reynolds was pretty good for them, but he's been at best a #3 option, but #4 option on average.

They've gotten TONs of other top WRs to go there and they amount to nothing in college or the pros.

Their 3rd best WR in the last 15 years couldn't hold DJ Chark's beer. Chark at the absolute best, is the 7th best WR to come out of LSU and go into the pros. Rueben Randle had a really good 4 year stint (have absolutely no idea how he did nothing afterwards), and Brandon LaFell was a #2 WR almost his entire career. I won't fault you for your order of ranking them 7th, 8th, or 9th, in LSU pecking order in that span. Hell, Christian Kirk himself would be 7th at best.

My love for high school recruiting have slowly dwindled throughout the years, I’m finally to the point where news like this doesn’t affect me one bit. I’m free yall
Me too lol. Neither pissed nor dismayed. We get who we get and i follow the signees and check the board daily.

Recruiting is so fricking retarded now.
Yall are stupid. Kid sees the writing on the wall. He commited in June of last year as the first WR committed to LSU. Since then, LSU has gotten commitments from 3 other guys, all ranked higher, and 2 in the top 100 overall. In addition, LSU is STILL going after Feaster (top 5 WR), and other highly ranked guys. Also, I'm willing to bet he wasn't the only one in his camp thinking about finding a better situation. Hell, SMU has big money too, they probably came and talked to him about it.

It doesn't negatively affect LSU anyway.

were any of those guys 160 lbs?
1. You're moving goalposts.

2. Devonta Smith was listed as 6'1 160. When he went to the draft after 4 years at Bama, he was 6'0 170. Anderson is listed at 6'0 160.

Don't know about you, but many of us hated when Smith turned us down to head off to Bama. We didn't care that he was 160lbs or barely 6 foot (he's just barely 6 ft).

I know this is a sour grapes take but 5’11”
Josh Reed, Jarvis Landry, Odell Beckham, and Aaron Anderson off the top of my head.
I expected this. All this talk of taking 5 WRs with 2 being 5 stars and three being in the top 75, sounded way too bloated to me. People saying we are losing a lot of WRs just don't get it. Nobody wants to be in the same class, in the same exact position, as four other guys.

If we can somehow land Feaster and keep the other three, Hankton will have reeled in the best WR class in LSU history.

Who the frick is Brad Crawford
I find it increasingly funny how like 90% of the so called college football fans on here know maybe 10 media people.
Unlike you, i don't need to see the kid win events. I love what i hear about Haven, and he's still my #1 QB for LSU in 2027. Doesn't mean i don't like the other guys, I just like him more. Love his potential more.

So what I’m gathering here is that every football team has players on it
Sure, if your reading comprehension is absolute shite.

However i did say, all of them had legit freshman starters, and i named them. These teams also won every national championship dating back to 2018.

My guess is DJ Pickett ends up as a great starter for us

Once this happens. We have a legitimate top 5 roster in the country.
And to have one of those type of rosters you need;

Elite star power
Experienced depth
Legit freshman starter talent

You have your exceptions to the legit starter freshman players like Michigan, but what they lacked there, they made up for in MANY super old experienced players who had played in the same system for 3+ years together.

Other than Clemson had Trevor Lawrence/Justyn Ross, LSU had Derek Stingly Jr, Alabama did have Will Anderson, but they also lucked out on covid (cases, guys not quiting before or during the season, etc), UGA had Brock Bowers/Ladd McConkey/AD Mitchell, UGA again had Mykel Williams/Malaki Starks, and Ohio St had Jeremiah Smith.

Immediate starter. He's no Caleb Downs, but would be the best safety since we had the Delpit/Stevens duo in 2019.
That boy Corey Raymond a friggin DAWG in these recruiting streets.
I do not expect him to start. This is experienced depth.

The players as a collective wanted this free agency. They got it. It works both ways. LSU can also look just like players.
Yeah the freshman in high school (or maybe he was in 8th grade at the time", wanted this

Kid has to compete and get better. Probably had everything given to him.
Or, LSU already has 9 DT, with only one SURELY leaving after this year and there is a legit chance we bring in two 5 star DT in Rich Anderson and Lamar Brown. Not everybody wants to wait 4-5 years to play.

Kid is making a business decsion after seeing the competition. Jack Bech made the same decision years ago and it paid off big time for him.

College sports is really broken if freshmen are transferring now…
Unbelievable how ridiculous some of you are

Every single day yall are looking for a transfer to come to LSU even with a "loaded for depth" group. Do you think a kid is going to stay buried on a depth chart for you amusement?

The more you go after transfers, the further it pushes down guys. When a kid realizes he's likely dead last in rotation even before all the new freshman come in and guys like Rich Anderson comes, the writing is on the wall.

I’m not defending tariffs, but snobbery like this is why dems lost every swing state and got shellacked among low and middle income Americans.

All im saying is that the man has lied a ton. He gave you no real reasons how he would improve the economy except tariffs. People voted and then days after the election, the number one search was "what are tariffs". Another top search was "who pays for tarrifs". Another top search was "how do I change my vote". It's not snobbish to say people are stupid when these are the search terms literally days after the voting was over.

Vote for whomever you want, but got damn people, how in the world did you get duped by Trump again?
quote:

Kelly happy with Gilbert and Toviano at safety lol
I am so damn glad that Kelly is thinking like im thinking. You have youngish talented guys who just need to get a chance on the field. You have a veteran who was fairly decent at TAMU, playing last year injured all year long. You have a transfer in Cooley who could give you help at nickel. Depending on how your corners turn out Delane could legit start at corner or safety, he's that good and versatile.

Kelly, like me, doesn't want to keep stacking transfers on top pushing off development and experience of guys he's recruited. You have multiple safety prospects with experience plus a blend between first time starters with years in the system and fresh faces. There are no Caleb Downs' in the portal. At this point you'd be reaching for guys that may or may not be as good as what you already have.

Same with DT. Im seeing all the local media people talking DT? I don't care what they've seen at practice or heard around. LSU has two legit options at Nose with one being a 5th year player. They also have a huge talented 5 star sophomore who is legit a starter with a backup in Breaux who played great in relief as a freshman. And again, there are no star DTs in the portal. Who left in the portal could beat out who we have?

Because it is a pretty great example of the power of media driven hysteria and its role in public perception
You mean like how one side had you believe the economy was in shambles and people couldn't afford anything? Fast forward 6 months later and it is even worse under the guy they said would fix it.

Let's get real. The trajectory of the economy was going up. All he had to do was stay out of the way. Instead because of his narcissistic personality, he has to come up with some grand plan to stamp his legacy.

Focus on border patrol without snatching people off the street just because they wear a Bulls hat.

Take a scalpel to government overspending instead of a sledgehammer, where you've already screwed up a frickton of times.

Keep the economy on the steady incline without raising inflation, losing jobs because companies will have to cut labor costs due to tariffs, and don't alienate your allies.

I think he's scared to fully go into tariffs. He really doesn't want to do it, but he's made such a grand show of it, he can't back down.. That's why they keep getting postponed. The thing with China is ridiculous. Not only does it harm big companies, small businesses are being killed that get products from china or parts or ingredients.
