I've been wondering should he make a switch to OL for a while now. I mean of course we need him for depth on DL this year, but that won't be the case next year.

All of this. Had we got Chambliss, we would have been considered a lock for the playoffs (possibly a championship caliber team if we got him and Lacy). Many do expect us to make it, but I'm talking about some people would have put us at 1 loss not 10-2, and i don't think anybody would have put us at 9-3. And Sorsby minus the gambling would have given us likely the same prediction. People may have questioned Williams's height in the SEC, but after mentions of Bryce Young and Pavia, that would have died down real quick. He has the arm talent and speed to dominate in the right system.

While Leavitt doesn't have a stronger arm than any of the 3 guys, he can definitely hold his own with his legs. Hopefully he has retained that and they allow him to do it. Just let him know he can't be taking hits. I still the Leavitt is fully capable of running this offense to perfection. He can throw plenty well and has help lead his team to a playoff run before. Remember, nobody but LSU wanted Burrow and Daniels when they left their schools.

SCHOOLS should. This no different than a coach's buyout that the next school pays if he breaches contract. LSU should have already paid this.

We literally turned down getting Demond Williams because we weren't going to pay a 4 mill buyout.

And you know what I hate the most when people bring it up? Roughly 99.9% of them (and yes I say that seriously because it almost NEVER is brought up the way it should), never bring up the nuance of that entire situation. They keep talking about most losing program into 16-0, but what they don't mention;

-the ridiculously high percentage of super and super+ seniors all over the roster

-a roster that immediately started winning when they went from FCS to FBS, that transfered into JMU, and then to Indiana.

-a ton spent on the roster (people are talking about LSU's 40+ mill, but IIRC, Indiana's was north of 20 mill and I think either close to 30 mill or right over).

-the first year, they played a creampuff delight of a schedule. When I say it was creampuff, I mean it. Of their 11 wins, TWO were against teams with winning records. One went 8-5 and the other went 7-6. Their schedule was so bad, the two G5 teams they played both had losing records :lol:


If you tell it like it is instead of going along with the insanity, people call you a hater. I congratulate them on the national championship. They were that good. I'm not even going to rag on that Notre Dame like schedule in year two because they beat Ohio St and Oregon before the playoffs. They deserve that, however people stamping him as the best or 2nd best coach after one national championship shows just how much this sport engages in mob mentality.

I hate when people act like you can't have elite players. Burrow had 3 first round picks and a 2nd round pick as starting skill players and multple OL that got bigger second contracts in the NFL.

Kiffin molded Jaxson Dart into a top tier QB.

I still believe it's a competition between him and Jeffrerson. Jefferson has had 2 years of straight up trash at QB. Chase has Burrow.

He hasn't really even been a starter yet. He plays in rotation, but it's not like he's in the game 60^+ of the time. This should be his first true year starting. He has plenty guys on his heels so it's pretty much his last chance at LSU to show his worth.

crazy part is that if he had that same 2022 defense with that 2023 offense, we're in the national championship game. That 2022 team was 32nd in pass defense but 118th in 2023.

He's a more athletic Bryce Young and Bryce Young was a 5 star. However Young played at Mater Dei his last 2 years. When you're short as a QB, unless you play at a top tier school in the highest classifications, they don't want to give you a 5 star. Same with Kyler Murray and Allen. Tate Martell was 56th overall recruit playing at Bishop Gorman, but he was the 5th highest rated QB.

ESPN is the only recruiting service that has him inside the top 100. Damn he can't even be a top 5 QB?
