I installed a smaller French drain in my yard a couple years ago and did a lot of research.
Don't see any issue with your design. Although in Louisiana soils a dry well may not be worth it.

This is in no way better than what we had. They added luxury seats to make money with the disguise of getting off field bullpens, so we can be more like the Mississippi schools.

I sleep in two phases. Usually just have to get out of bed, drink water, piss and I can usually go right back.

It is more of an addition than a renovation. New visitor bullpen, new home bullpen, and new on-field seating areas. Nets now extend almost to foul polls. Nothing old has been renovated.
