it's a 2 run hr in the 6th. Why the wild celebration in front of dozens. DOZENS!

The home run hitter is an embarrassment.

Extraordinary ability, with no sportsmanship or character there, that defines the basis for the greater societal dysfunction. Coaching failure as well.
Good on the Mom for making this go highly public. People should know.

You are correct with your assessment. This is a reflection of our society as a whole. A great coach once said, “act like you been there before”

You should get out more and spend less time on the internet. It's distorting your view of society.

Umpire - wrong for not tossing the HR hitter out of the game
HR Hitter's Coach - an embarrassment to the game of baseball
HR Hitter - Needs to get earholed
Mom - Good for you. Stand up for what is morally right

Morally right? It's a fricking baseball game. Don't justify idiots by acting like one yourself. What a fricking embarrassment

Umpires have to take over there immediately. Next batter gets one straight at his ear hole

Unwritten rules used to be followed or enforced. That’s how baseball was for a long time. You want to celebrate and act a fool - go for it but the guy batting behind you is going to pay.

Can’t show emotion in a baseball game ? If that was bear jones vs Texas A&M yall would’ve loved that lol. Maybe they should’ve done something about the score board. But it’s understandable I would be upset to if I was getting beat that bad and a player rubbed it in
user avatar

Not even close to the same. Bear has a walk-off and I still WOULD have been disappointed if he celebrated that much. Classless for a conference elimination game. “beat that bad…” The score was only 3-1 in the 6th.
Walk-off in the Conference championship? Okay, I’ll buy it, otherwise, it's bush-league,

exactly. If this was an LSU player celebrating like that, this board would be supportive of the emotional reaction.

Next hitter is getting his melon cracked.

She was there for the view. Reminded her of watching her kids play in the yard from on top of her trailer.

She was one of the loud moms on her son's Travel Ball Majors teams over the years to let everyone know her kid was one of the best players when he wasn't.

Is there a softer bunch of athletes than baseball players? Even golfers are allowed to show emotion, but God forbid someone celebrates a home run. Let’s charge the field and push and shove or better yet let’s just throw at someone’s head. How about not throwing him a pitch he can launch into orbit?
user avatar
atltiger64876 days
that's been my argument for decades. If you don't want an opponent to celebrate, then don't let them hit a home run. Or if they do, just come back and beat them on the field.
These unwritten baseball rules are just plain silly.

This isn't showing emotion. This is showing someone up and taunting. That hitter should have been ejected and called out. Celebrate with your team but what he did was poor sportsmanship, no it was disgusting, which sadly, is the norm nowadays.
