Bold leadership which truly would set the bar high re the International Stage.

Why not? The US has zero desire to impose Constitutional Republic Democracy on the Chinese people via 'regime change'. Their people can handle that if they want to or accept the status quo if it works for them. Hell, the US will be pseudo-Socialist within a decade given that AI will displace millions of honest and responsible workers. Many of whom hate their jobs anyway. Why should they bust arse when many other irresponsible citizens just lay up, or worse...given that "an idle mind is the devil's workshop" for many. Freedom is not for everybody, only the "moral and religious people".

AI extraordinary power should be used to give people free time for their families and general spirit. Not to enslave them or be a means of suicidal warfare mechanisms but to lend true freedom.

Honestly, I don’t think that Humanity’s best and most sincere efforts will be enough to avert calamity. Given my Christian bias I think it will be only when the above is proven true that the Lord Jesus will step in and be welcomed to save us from ourselves.
