Predicting the weather is an inexact science, but it IS science- I get so tired of people thinking it makes themselves seem smarter by saying “the weatherman gets stuff wrong all the time”…. Ignorance and unpredictability are two separate categories.
They get it right a lot; an educated guess is good to know.

Lived under the NEZ in '72; it sounded just about like you'd expect- not much different than being at concessions or in a bathroom when something big/loud happens.... Back then we could go in&out w/ a Student ID- could go back to rooms to smoke&drink at half-time, go back in when it got loud again...,
A much cooler sound was hearing the tiger roar on a quiet night, cage was much smaller and on the stadium side of the street (closer to my windows)
