Ed realized when it was over and walked away when he should.

I'm a fan of O's so don't take this the wrong way but he was fricking fired for essentially abandoning his post once he got to the mountaintop.

And turning the screws to get what's contractually owed you doesn't mean Kelly has no integrity. It means Woodward signed a shitty contract for LSU.
Didja ever see a place kicker flip off the entire student section because the ongoing vitriol from his peers finally got to him?

There have been lots of vilified players in LSU history. Not sure Nuss even makes the top 10, let alone the podium, let alone MVP.

I just rather him go elsewhere like Florida

You don't want that fricking guy at Florida.

I'm assuming at least a handful of programs have adopted an SLM to manage queries about upcoming games. It would certainly be a timesaver which is huge given the hours staffs have to put in these days

re: Gruden....That is all.

I almost wish LSU would hire Gruden. So that he could fail. So that we wouldn't have to see his name so much on the coaching changes board.

How do I bet my life savings on him never coaching again?

There are a few betting exchanges that take your action. Step right up...

re: Dan Lanning=Mario Cristobal

You don't get the hype of a coach whose gone 42-7 and a playoff appearance?

I mean, just say you think Kiffin's a better fit. But comparing Dan Lanning to a flunkie like Cristobal makes you look silly.

He wasnt "one of them" if he had been one of them libs, he would still be the coach.

wut?

but was still the winningest active coach in football.

No titles, no one fricking cares.

Upvote for the sheer naïveté of your worldview

Once the boomers go to retirement homes, college football viewership might have a little problem.

You're literally making shite up based on some narrative you picked up from god knows where. Almost 70% of CFB fans are late teen/young adult male. And they have jobs=money=ad rev.

You really think the SEC gets billions of dollars to cater to a bunch of old fricks who never leave the house?

Whatever.

The portal giveth and the portal taketh away. Any coach worth his salt (and $20M) can rebuilt a roster in a season. If LSU hires the right man for the job, losing players won't matter beyond his second season.

Here’s the facts.

Two things can be true at once. Woodward had to go, no doubt about it. Besides begging for money, he's responsible for driving revenue by way of football and MBB. And both hires were disasters.

That doesn't mean Huey P Landry shouldn't shut his fricking mouth and let the powers-that-be do their thing internally with the bag men. HC's are CEO's who seek stability. LSU does not look stable right now. And the faster the shite quiets down, the better the hiring process will go.

Then he’s going to be waiting a loooong time
It’s incredible that so many of you have forgotten the actual issue at hand 4yo: LSU didn’t give up on O. O gave up on LSU. Dude got his and he was done

Ya gotta win something to put in the trophy case before you're best in that group.

That is their current order strictly in terms of accomplishments.

Good point.

Now someone do one in order of pc hilarity. Because that'll be a really, really tough one to suss out.
Of course you'd have to consider it because it would mean this team, seemingly out of nowhere, started playing great ball.

frick no. I wore my lsu garb when Archer was shitting the bed and again later when Curly made us a laughingstock. I’ll never not rep my beloved Tigers

Yeah but Ed Orgeron let his side piece watch practice once, things could be worse.

It's so much more than this. Win football games and keep the talent happy and you can walk onto the practice field with two armfuls of floozies you scrounged up this a.m. on The Belle. Orgeron was through coaching football and it showed up in everything he did.
