"If you were to come in and said we were gonna throw for more yards than LSU tonight, I would be like "erm, really?" but we did."
Your boy threw for 18 more yards, on 24 of 44 attempts for an average of 7 yds a pass and a pick, while Burrow got his on 21 of 24 for an average of 12 yds a pass. Is this just sour grapes that he failed to prepare for a balanced offensive attack? Getting 18 more passing yards while having 72 fewer yards rushing seems like a weak moral victory, but if it's the only positive stat you have, I can see why you'd lean on it.
When you're choking on your pride, you gotta reach for whatever you can...
I agree with him, though, that their SEC East games are far more important-- With UGA's loss, they could still easily get to the SEC Championship and have a shot at the playoff. LSU has tougher games in front of them (Auburn, Alabama, A&M).
Injuries, though. I wonder what it's like to have to win games against ranked opponents with a bunch of injuries. I hope LSU never has to figure that out. Oh, wait...
