You might have noticed UH had at least two key players from LA.

William Manchester wrote a bio of him way back when if you can find it.
Please. I see this headline too much already when I click on the Internet.

All of the semifinal teams were able to run the ball too.

This was what I saw too - watching the semifinals you saw offensive linemen that could actually block in the run game. I think the D will keep improving.

Yes, Nuss has a better arm than these other 4 QBs. Our skill position guys are a level above Penn State and ND. Get an O-line that can move the LOS and create room in the run game and we take a major step forward.

with Shaq on the king's float will it fit under the telephone lines?

Or under the live oak branches?

Larry Ellison didn't go to Michigan?

His newest girlfriend did though.

So did Larry Page, one of the founders of Google.

Did not look great early in the year. Much better lately.

Same here and my old man HATED him. But even then I had a soft spot for him cause he was my first coach.

Same here - I heard a lot of "Help Mac pack" in the stands as a kid. But Mac seemed to be liked by fans and respected by fellow coaches in retirement. Even my dad, after griping about him, would say he was the only coach to beat the Bear back to back years.
I got to meet and chat with Mac once or twice in his later years - we were going through chemo at the same place in '01.
A great Tiger. Still remember him snagging the back end of the ball for a long TD vs. Aggies in that 2010 Cotton Bowl.

I remember too that Jarrett Lee hung him out to dry to get clocked by a DB in '09. (LA Tech I think?) So yes, what he could have done with better QBs...
I was in a dungeon in the Doges Palace there in '98 and I think they had cable in it.

Still remember Miami throwing it all over us in a TS monsoon in 1988.

Michael Jayston was good in the John LeCarre books I'm working through on Audible. I just looked him up and saw he passed away this year.
The other drive that got me was:
- Emery nailed for 5 yd loss on first down
- Good 14-yd completion to Pimpton - 14, not 15
- Then we can't get a yard on third and one
I mainly put on the headphones and listen to Bach to block out my wife's way-too-loud shopping videos that she tunes into every night.

Yep, he showed big improvement last night. If Jones keeps playing like that I'll feel better about our D line.
This is what some people gripe about the day after a loss?

Great article.
But...."The Tigers defeated heavily favored Oklahoma...in the 2004 Nokia Sugar Bowl...?"
Don't recall the Sooners being heavy favorites. Maybe it's my P&G memory glasses talking.
Yes.... Awesome night in Tiger Stadium. Remember the fog rolling in over the upper deck and oranges flying in the second half. Dalton Hilliard had a great game too.
Agree with another poster - this was one of our great teams of the 70's-90's that won some big games and inexplicably lost a couple to Tulane and Moo State. In addition to Hilliard, James, Lance Smith and Eric Martin on offense, we had Leonard Marshall, Albert Richardson and Eugene Daniel on the defensive side.

Awesome, thanks!
Someone on here was grousing about being on a nearly empty flight from NOLA to NC. Based on that clip it looks like Tigers are well represented in Chapel Hill.
