Greg Sankey Has Blunt Response When Asked About LSU's Standing In The SEC

SEC Commissioner Greg Sankey spoke with reporters at SEC Media Days on Wednesday and was asked what he'd like to see from LSU to feel better about their standing within the conference:

"I’d like to not be in court, but as I said, those legal filings speak for themselves," Sankey responded.

The comments come one day after the SEC filed its opposition to LSU's motion to dismiss the conference's federal lawsuit.

In Tuesday's filing, the SEC maintained that the dispute goes beyond the eligibility of former professional athletes and continues to raise questions about LSU's compliance with conference rules and its membership in the league.

"I'd like to not be in court..."

Then why did you file lawsuits in the first place? Why are you arguing against the motion to dismiss? Kinda sounds like you DO want to be in court, jackass.

C'mon don't be so obtuse.

Don't get me wrong, I don't like it either, but what he is essentially saying is he would rather the things going on not be going on so that he wouldn't have to file lawsuits, etc...

Sounds to me like he wants LSU to self impose or accept punishment (punishment for zero broken rules btw). LSU is telling him to F off

He could end it all now by dropping the lawsuit. Instead he wants LSU to "bend the knee and kiss the ring" all to prevent public scrutiny and embarassment. The goalpost keep moving on this. As people been saying, they want LSU to publicly apologize and admit wrongdoing. And I wouldn't because based on the bylaws, what have you done wrong? Now basketball is the next target. It's far from over.

That will cost the conference millions so every other school will pay for his dumbass “first amendment lack of enforcement. Same for Bobby Hills comments at SseC media days he did NOTHING SBOUT. Preferential treatment is intolerable and Finalky LSU is standing up for itself after 20 years of consistent cheating by SEC officiating.
There’s a plethora of evidence.

You know why Bama fans hated Roy Kramer? He was from Tennessee and they perceived him as keeping them in check. They cheated their arse off in the early 90’s and shamed the conference.
Then Slive allowed 20 years of it turning a blind eye to both Bama and UGA bc Kirby had the goods on his former boss.
Kirby got a 20MM recruiting budget and all
Of a sudden was getting all these recruits.
Not a coincidence

LSU should just drag that bitch to federal court at this point and embarrass him and the leagues leadership on a national stage. They have no basis, no direct infractions to implicate the need for a lawsuit especially when multiple other members are actually rostering and playing the types of players which LSU does not have that they are suing us for.

Only this dumbass would stand in front of the media and state he would like to not be in court, but refuses to drop the federal suit against LSU.

There are at least 2 schools that absolutely will vote against this and vote his arse out. A&M for breaking an oath about Texas joining the conference, Texas bc they want the SEC HQ to move like many others and old cronies out.
Miss St bc they hate the preferential treatment that Ole Miss is getting and Alabama bc they want on the oversight board and that dummy U Tenner president out.
Greg is the biggest rat on the sinking ship.
If they were to try to kick LSU out. The conference would lose billions over the next 5 years.
Every athlete and agent could sue the conference if their respective team had a game vs LSU on the schedule for loss of earning potential due to bias like allowing Chambliss to play and not threading Ole Miss instead threatening LSU for ZERO rule violations.
That means every current athlete in every current sport on campus right now. Not just at LSU.
Wright and Thomas will get 5-7 million each for missing this one season and being singled out.
Keep running your damn mouth and burying yourself.

He wants LSU to scream from the mountain top “We understand that you are God and you can throw us out anytime you want!”
He’s not going to throw them out just want LSU to say Uncle and cower down. His fkg ego is so huge and the other ADs & Presidents are sniffing his vajayjay- like the little kid behind the fighter shouting yeah we gonna kick yo A$$(but has never thrown a punch. The Hate for everything LSU is real!

Sometimes I really would like the Tigers in every sport dismantle opponents like they did to Oklahoma in the 2019 football playoffs and to Florida in game 3 of the 2023 CWS, making statements that the SEC NEEDS to keep LSU in the SEC. (The results of that, though, could also add fuel to the fire). On another hand, there is another way: Do so much good showing kindness to the rest of the SEC and Sankey that it heaps coals of fire on their heads. As long as we react--instead of proact--there may be damage to all parties in many ways. A root of bitterness springing up defiles many. All of us--including Sankey--need to practice grace. There is too much anger rampant in the world today, and we need to find ways to neutralize it.
