Just to add cause I’m salty
I have met a few argentines over the years and they are great passionate people.
But…
The Argentine soccer player is a different breed. It’s as if someone asked God to create a more trashier European than either the English public housing or Eastern Europe slums could provide and God said - “Sure but I’ll need to put them on the other side of the world so they don’t have to interact too often”. The horrific haircuts, prison level tattoo culture and overall thuggery are points of pride and lifestyle.

It was a disgraceful performance.
Frankly I will find it hard to route for them for awhile.
If I was able to wish for the team plane to go down on the way home - everyone survives but they aren’t found for 20 years when they are past playing age - I would be fine with it. Football would be better for it.
The supposed second ranked team in the world has to try and play like that?

Won’t miss him. While not all his fault yesterday he’s proven time and again he can’t defend space well. Much better in an organised compact defense.
He didn’t have that at Liverpool and won’t at real.

Looks like we are signing a 17 year old Colombian kid who can’t even play for us until April. Not the transfer news I need injected into my veins but it will tide me over for 24 hours.

Yep. They needed a pressure reliever. The whole rest of the game was played around their box.

Great story Byrd.
For me it was a combination of things Stevie G - we barely used to get some champions league games here on tv years ago (90s and early to mid 2000s) and didn’t really get league games. And I liked watching some. I liked Liverpool among a group of several teams I enjoyed watching but never had a favorite. SG changed that. The passion and energy and the goals (what a hit!). By the time I came across a highlight video his top goals Liverpool was must watch tv for me.
I generally love passion in players. I liked Rooney even though he was Everton and man united.

Lots of outgoing rumors and runors about guys who weren’t renewed and their next stop. Not much about incoming. We still planning to field a team?

I was very happy to see the penalty for England against Norway called back.
One of my biggest annoyances beyond the flopping is players who just get their leg in front. Not making a legitimate play on the ball, just making sure their leg is in front so it can draw a foul.

One. That thing would choke on me. We would both lose.

Ok that seems specific.

Ok that’s a problem. And how pretentious and self absorbed do you have to be to shoot a movie that can only be shown as intended in 10 screens across the whole country?

100% it hurt.
It motivated and put Belgium on a united front. They came out aggressive.
There was a natural relief for the us players that our best attacking threat would play. We didn’t look up for the battle at all.
Fact is - Belgium looked up for it. We didn’t. And it’s hard to not believe Flos reinstatement wasn’t a big part of that.

Can you tell us
1. Are these just names or potential starters?
2. How soft are they?

At the end of the day Poch made our guys forget they were soft pu$$ies for a few games but the magic wore off. Back to the thing they have done best for most of the last 10 years - be soft.

More control and creativity in midfield or weah looked so bad against Turkey? Probably a bit of both.

Agreed. Was yelling at him watching him loaf around. You are in for just a bit. Run your arse off.
I think Pepi starts - and he did look good in send off friendly against Senegal I believe. But he’s got to show a lot more than what he’s shown in World Cup. I think he gets subbed out around 60 - though it’s Poch so it’ll probably be at 84.

As much as I hate that Netherlands and Germany are out, glad that our guys will get as much time as possible in camp with the new coach.
Sweden soon to follow and Ali with Brazil doesnt need as much time with new system as field players.
Reading PSG are saying Barcola isn’t transfer listed and they don’t need to sell anyone. Don’t see how they’ll keep the many attackers happy.

Didn’t hate the game.
Saw a few guys that can step in well. Saw a few guys that don’t seem ready for more minutes. Went toe to toe with Turkeyeye with our 2s, despite spending 40 minutes of the first half looking mostly poor.
No surprise but Puli brings something aggressive none of the other guys have.
