I could see him being announced and his first line at the press conference is “go to hell LSU” and he sprints for his car.

He’s either ours or setting up an epic troll while securing bigger financial commitments ole miss.

I would hope we are still going through interviews and due diligence for other potential coaches so we can move quick if this goes south or lane changes his mind.
Mikes was a good hire. Brought Oklahoma state back to relevance. Teams played hard. Had upsets. Good balance on offense. Was it thr best possible hire probably not, but it was a good hire. And it started well.

Miles problem was 2008. He was already more conservative than optimal (see auburn game 2006) and failing to change with the times but the interceptions in 2008 changed him and his outlook. It was rare to have a good passing attack after that and he loathed throwing over the middle.

I don’t think miles had anything to do with it. The guys at OLOL was moving money through people most of whom had nothing to do with football or LSU. As a booster he met vadals parents and added them to his scheme. There was no recruiting payment or incentive included in it. Just shady people who met by their connection to LSU.
Each other.

Negotiate for the most salary, the most coordinator budget, the biggest NIL pool. Why wouldn’t you?

He may not even know which job he’s taking. All things being equal they likely have an idea on preference.

The Ole Miss ultimatum changes the timeline but not the process. Just keep asking each party to up the ante until one one stands atop.
You’re lucky you weren’t hit with piss balloons as you walked to school after defending Dinardo like that.

O doesn’t need funds. Do you think he blew the $17 mil? Just the ROI on half of that would be $700-800,000 a year.

He lost half to his ex and wasn’t expecting it. That’s not great ROI.

Ed O needs the funds. DL coach and associate head of recruiting.

The blondes of Baton Rouge will never recover. But the generational seeds will have been sown.
Against a bad Arkansas team.

LSU is a complete rebuild next year. Yes with the portal rebuilds can be quick but the “talent” we think we have is not close to good enough. And a lot of the money we spent last year is out of eligibility. One year buys.

If we are looking to hire a high level coach who may be in the playoffs we miss a good bit or all of the portal. That makes next year a dead year. Some of our players may enter the portal because we have no coach yet. All of that That just delays the start of any rebuild.

Even in the best case scenario we are a couple of years away.

stopped reading after you said Keys is slow. Unless you meant he's slow mentally diagnosing plays. That's absolutely true. He looks lost out there half the time. But he's definitely not slow physically.

Keys is also not good covering an athletic Tight end. We don’t seem to game plan against what other dreams are trying match up. Meaning we let them create the mismatch and don’t adjust to it.
Game was winnable but it’s not fair to expect us to be perfect on every opportunity.

Bama also had a few plays left on thr table. It could have been worse.

Do we actually practice these screens?

For a play we run more than any other our blocking receivers look clueless about what to do or who to block. They routinely block the same player leaving one free or just whiff on a block.

$360/year! NO thanks

In the $91 you tube charges you are probably already paying $20-25 to espn/disney anyway. They just want it direct unless YouTube pays them more. Theoretically if YouTube doesn’t keep them then YouTube should drop by $20-$25.
This is one of those times I wish this board had a super downvote.

coaching search doesn’t happen in a week.

Neither does an AD search.

And most coaches want an AD established to hire them.

Would you leave your multi million dollar a year job for a new job when your boss hasn’t been hired either?
Ain’t a melt. It’s the current status of LSU football.

Likely the same people saying to calm down were the mouth breathers who thought we were being too negative cause we were undefeated and ranked third. Some of us can see the issues before hand. Others can’t.

Yes we aren’t hiring a coach for a month or more. Still not likely to have an AD by then. And which coaches do we lose out on because there is no established AD here? They like some stability and assurance to leave their other job.

What an embarrassing clusterfu$&@

No AD
No president
Governor who doesn’t even like LSU throwing his weight around and throwing out idiotic misinformation
Zero leadership exists to actually right the ship and make a good decision. Might as well have Joe Dean back
A half empty stadium when we win
A fully empty stadium when we lose
