This might be a way.

This would have more to do with the school than him. Also remind you, this happened in October of last year. Woodward was the AD and Kelly was the head coach. You also had an interim president.

And this is the part of the article I found quite interesting:

So if this was the case, this could explain why nothing was done. However, if she had the proof then, it's likely more would've come out at that time. Unless there was a coverup by campus police to protect the athlete. Which if that was the case, unless they can find strong evidence of this, it's a "he said, she said". It's the fact the athlete went to them first is the part that's interesting especially if she claims rape.

And i agree wholeheartedly:

Because I know of a girl who cried rape on two guys and almost ruined their lives because she got caught at school after hours having sex. She claimed they forced her there, but later found out she lied. She was also known to have a reputation at a very young age. Despite that, people initially believed her, but one guy was kicked out of school for it.

If this is the case, why isn't he in jail? And if this was presented to the school, shouldn't he have been expelled? I don't understand this.

It's almost as though some people set super high expectations without realistically looking at every thing first. Then when the players don't meet them yet, then they're busts or not good or not up to par. Now granted there's nothing wrong with having them, just be realistic about the situation. How about have a wait and see approach and go from there?

This is a QB who hasn't played since last year who's now playing with a new team he didn't have a spring to connect with. He's gotta get better, but so does the oline, receivers etc. These guys gotta gel and it was obvious with things said out of camp that this was the side of the ball that took a little while to get going. Still an issue.

If the schedule was a bit more favorable it would help but still wouldn't tell you much until you're tested. And this is the SEC; you're tested every week. So this is trial by fire. Gotta weather through it.

Yep you're pretty much building a new team every year. If you're fortunate enough to keep several key pieces on your team, you still have to account for others you're replacing. You might get lucky and hit on guys like Mensah at Miami and be business as usual or struggle and have to work it out like Oregon. We're in the work it out stage. We'll see where we end up.

No y'all played yourselves for thinking this would be a quick turnaround. If some people were being realistic instead of being cocky and overconfident about how it was going to be. You had to revamp this roster mostly on offense with a QB that was out with a foot injury last year, had to have surgery, and get acclimated with a new offense and new teammates mostly in the fall because he was recooperating. There was always going to be issues with this team. Hell you could see it game 1 if some of you were truly being honest with yourselves but many of you were only looking at the scoreboard.

The defense disappointed me tonight due to Baker and his inability to do in-game adjustments and being stubborn trying make things work when they didn't. The offense was going to be an issue if they kept having slow starts when facing better opponents. They have to gel and get better. There was always going to be growing pains and the schedule doesn't help. Just gotta weather through it and see what kind of team this will be later in the year. But Baker and this defense needs to get their shite in order because that was zero excuse for that.
