More surprised by the fact that there was a crowd watching than by the actual shot.

Today I learned there is a world disc golf championship.

Play of the year in sports. Considering the stakes and the degree of difficulty, there's no question.

James' check for winning was $16,500...not bad for 5 days of playing disc golf.

Off the charts athleticism! Especially the celebratory run down the "fairway"! Wow!

I do enjoy these comments since I do find them funny, but disc golf is actually pretty fun to play.

Never heard of it, but looks like fun to me.

What a bunch of betas out there.

It's so cool to see disc golf catching on. I wish I was half as good as these pros are.

This was at the World Championships. 5 rounds over 5 days. This was hole 18 of the last round. The guy who made it had to hole this shot to make it into the playoffs where he went on to win his first World Championship beating the guy who is the 5 time World Championship. It was a clutch moment.

Wow, there are people that go watch this? And is that really a big deal?
Reply3 months
Yes, there are and for those who play at the highest level it's a really big deal. The guy who lost the playoff, Paul McBeth, recently signed a $10,000,000 deal with Discraft and also has a deal with Adidas.

And many a dirty hippie rejoiced that day.
