Man, I was coming here to plead for mercy for OU812 . . . then I see he has already been reinstated.
Bad decision by the admin that did that.
Dude has been banned more times than he has posted.

If they ban feeding in the state will the price of a hunting lease go down drastically?
Nope, now hunters have money they would have spent on feeding that they can now put toward leases.
If feeding bans worked then you wouldn't have new areas testing positive for CWD.
Possible upside: Deer should move around more looking for acorns and browse and less food available for hogs.

So, Rome was cut short to make way for GOT? I guess it makes sense that some of the same actors are in both.
Completely incorrect.
Rome came out and was cancelled 5-6 years before GOT.
Rome got cancelled because it was very expensive. They really put the money into sets and costumes. Also, BBC and the Italian production studio only had a 2 season commitment and couldn't agree to continue it. Basically the BBC didn't want to pay for another season.
People are confusing this with Deadwood and John from Cincinnati. Deadwood got cancelled because of its high cost and David Milch was more excited about the other show.
The Rome actors were later in GOT largely because production of both shows took place in Europe.

I think that's talking about two different things. Of course you should see if the shotgun fits the person. However, what was described is how you determine which eye is dominant.

A little advice when choosing a shot gun. Let the user hold it sort of at the waist. Tell him to close his eyes and shoulder the gun. Now let him open his eyes and choose the one where the front and rear of the barrel are on the same plane with his eyes.
Wait what???
That is how you determine the dominant eye. That shouldn't have anything to do with choosing a shotgun.

Tell them if they want to flip some tin in Winn Parish, just let me know! We didn't disturb the place so no telling what is there.
I'll just stand a safe distance away!

Saw a bunch of tin on the ground in a pine thicket where an old barn used to be and I actually throught of your threads. Tried to get my oldest to flip some tin to see what was under while I filmed. He passed.
re: Mortgage company didn’t pay property taxes from escrow and property placed on auction list
Posted by TigerDeacon on 2/18/26 at 12:20 pm to WG_Dawg
If you don't escrow you usually pay a higher percentage on your mortgage. Usually .25% more. You could pay less or a one time fee but those are rarer. Plus you have to put down 20% or more.
To people that are talking about using their "local" mortgage company or bank. In a vast majority of cases the servicer of your mortgage changes immediately. If you are using your local bank for your home mortgage you are most assuredly paying a higher rate.
But yes, always check to make sure your property taxes are paid ever year. With the millions of mortgages out there errors do happen.

Need some help with ice damaged crepe myrtles.
Posted by TigerDeacon on 1/28/26 at 5:09 pm
I have three large crepe myrtles which have each had different levels of damage from the ice storm. I'm in North Louisiana so we got pretty heavy ice. Today is the first day without ice on them. But I have been at work so I haven't seen them since this morning.
The one in my front yard just has bent limbs while the trunks just seem to be mostly upright. The second one has some large limbs broken off but a lot of the trunks are sagging. The one outside my back door got it the worst with most of the trucks and large limbs are completely broken off or cracked. It also had a bad aphid attack in 2024 but I was able to treat it.
Obviously, I plan to cut off the broken limbs but I've seen a lot of internet "experts" talking about tying up the bent trunks together to see if they recover their natural shape.
Has anyone had any luck doing this before? Any other suggestions? Thanks!
