Nick Saban Postgame Press Conference Moment Goes Viral

Absolutely coach. Even Kirby said it, this Bama team shouldn't even had been there. What those guys accomplished this season and then hanging in there with two of the most explosive players in college ball out, incredible. One game doesn't define what Alabama accomplished with probably a 4 loss team. Bama has 9 starters that started the title game back. Next year will be fun. Still, NOTHING could have been finer than the 98 yds in a minute on the plains.

This has always been at the core of Saban - all the way back to his LSU days. Funny how principles, discipline, accountability, and integrity are back in style. It's not complicated...

Saban is trying to be nice to the guys, but the reality is that when you play for Alabama, one loss does define you.

He says they took responsibility for the loss…but then says they were the reason they were in the game in the first place…so which is it?

I hate Bama but you gotta acknowledge that Saban just gets it. He knows how to lead and he's been right on pretty much everything with his criticisms of the playoff, etc.

Don't understand why he didn't use any of his timeouts earlier during the last minute + of the 1st half. They might have forced a punt and got the ball at or near midfield. Isn't anyone second guessing that strategy?

He basically just singled them out as the reasons they lost.

This is how you get players to “Buy In”. As a coach you have to be mentally grounded to not let one game, one play, etc. be what makes or breaks your team. Good players are the same way. They can make a mistake and put it behind them quickly. Mental toughness is key.

Saban chews his best arse after a blowout win

Saban is always soft after losses. I believe it’s because he can’t stand warranted criticism. When they win, which is most of the time, he is an insufferable prick; smart- arse comments to reporters, jumping on assistants when they up by 40, etc. etc.

It's what makes him great.

Two great players that Saban is acknowledging. Bryce threw some beautiful passes (under pressure too) that were just flat out dropped by the receivers. Will's first step is incredible.

GOAT. Period.

This is typical Saban. Bashes his players when they’re winning and props them up when they’re losing. It’s his way of motivating them and it works

Yep. It’s moments like this that remind me how happy I am that he is no longer the LSU coach.

Undertow, you’d trade your left nut for Saban to even contemplate coming back to LSU.
