Those two yellow jackets that flew up my short britches while I was playing left field at the church softball game, caused quite the scene. I was just standing there minding my own business when the things got a little crazy. All I could do was grab handfuls of shorts and squeeze, hoping whatever the hades was in there would stop, all the while jumping up and down reciting my Sunday school lesson backwards. The swelling was impressive but could have done without the pain.

Got to see her perform back in 2010 when she made a surprise appearance at the Dixie Stampede lobby area in Pigeon Forge. Was only about 6 feet from us.

I didn’t actually see it but my dad was drafted to go to Vietnam. My grandfather had become disabled and by that time my father basically took care of everything around their little farm. My grandfather went to see the judge at our parish courthouse and was able to secure the paperwork dismissing my dad from his draft status because he basically provided for the family. My dad ripped the papers in half believing he could never live with himself if he didn’t go. He went to Fort Polk and served for a year, combat infantry in 1969.

Had a clutch problem with mine. It would mow for about 30 mins and blow a fuse. Put in a new fuse and it would cut for about 15 mins and burn fuse again. Install another fuse and then it would cut maybe 5 mins and burn another fuse. Let it sit a day and do the same all over again. I knew it was a clutch issue, called and suggested that to the dealer that I bought it from. It was under warranty, and when I brought it in they never could replicate the problem, and the clutch was testing ok by their own standards but…they were not using it long enough. They replaced the wiring harness, connectors, switches, etc, etc…. Finally put on a new clutch and never anymore trouble.
