What's everyone's view on their backup QB situation? Is someone available to step in for the starter in case of injury and run the offense effectively? IN the case of A&M, I think we're fricked if Reed goes down.

You’re fricked even if he stays healthy if y'all play a real schedule.

You mean our QB that led his team to the playoffs?

We can't all be blessed with generational talent.

As an LSU fan the only chance we have is for Reed to go down.

Thanks for the tip.

Is that the same one that didn’t record a win against a SEC team that finished in the top half of the conference?

It wouldn’t be ideal (losing your starting QB almost never is) but “we’re fricked” is rather dramatically overstating it.

Brady Hart, a 4-star recruit and one of the highest-rated QBs in the 2025 class (broke numerous Florida passing records) is a tall prototypical QB, size wise, with a big arm. He’s an accurate downfield passer who is poised in the pocket and generally makes good decisions.

The staff has a lot of confidence in him. There’d be a learning curve, but it’s not like the cupboard is bare.

Since you clearly don't know.

Karle Lacey Jr. RS-Fr

2025 1 1 100.0 7 yds

Not a good situation either.

We'll be fine. One of the backups might be better

Lacey is pretty good… he’s been turning heads this offseason. Will be an interesting battle btwn him and Bell next spring (assuming Manning goes pro)

But yes, Texas is likely screwed if Manning goes down considering their schedule

Yeah! If Reed plays Muschamp’s defense A&M loses by 100!

Both of those guys are highly touted.

Just have to get them some game reps.

Not having an LB playing Star who can’t cover and takes plays off will help tremendously with dual threat QBs imo.

As for LSU, Longstreet and Landen Clark both could probably keep our season afloat, but are both a year away from doing anything meaningful

With the new 5 year rule and no red shirting we'll have to wait and see.
