I don’t see the big deal with what they’ve done honestly….it’s all obviously within the rules, so what’s the problem?

The fact that LSU not actually breaking any rules doing this will speed real reform in college athletics ahead.

I for one didnt have an issue with chambliss getting another year either. If rules arent broken its not a big deal

Funny that so many people are terrified that LSU is going to go on such a great run.
I personally think they will with Lane at the helm. But to be so reeeee about it, makes no sense.

I think this whole thing with Ole Miss/Trinidad, LSU, the Colorado court ruling, etc. is shining a light on what a clown show the NCAA has become. Their rules aren't binding and can be overruled by any local judge. They had years to prepare for the eventual NIL takeover and were wildly unprepared to tackle the challenges it would present.
I'd personally rather Trinidad Chambliss lose his eligibility than have this BS continue. 2022 high school athletes are arguing for more eligibility based on a new rule that wasn't in place when they were in college. By that logic, why doesn't every college athlete from the past few years sue the NCAA for more eligibility and have their local court overrule the NCAA?

LSU is needing private equity to afford their expensive decisions but need to go get some NFL bum "or risk getting left behind"

This man has a point.
To OP, it isn't necessarily " good " for the conference for LSU to be the villain, but it was always going to happen when they hired Kiffin. They'd be the villain even without a lot of this stuff, so they might as well lean into it.
