Michigan High School Protesting Game Over 'Sportsmanship' Because Player Scored 16 Goals

A high school in Michigan is crying in thier in Sprite after an opposing player scored 16 goals on them. So now, instead of learning how to play defense, they're protesting. Smart move, coach...

Kevin Hubbell of Benzie Central, one of the best players in the state, scored 16 goals against Kingsley. The Sept. 29 game was declared over at halftime — a 17-0 wipeout of a winless team.

That’s why some people are upset.

“To go after a personal record like that at the cost of another team’s dignity was a little uncalled for,” Kingsley coach Tim VanWingerden said. “Soccer is not the right place for that. Soccer is a gentleman’s sport.”

if the team is playing competitive sports, they can't blame the other team for being too good. Stop complaining and focus on playing better. To me, it's MORE insulting for the better team to just stop trying to score. I'd get more pissed about that.
