Skubal wins his arbitration hearing

Posted by LSUMJ on 2/5/26 at 2:13 pm
Detroit is run by morons apparently

Reigning two-time Cy Young winner Tarik Skubal has won his landmark arbitration case against the Detroit Tigers reports ESPN

Skubal will be paid the $32 million he sought rather than the $19 million the Tigers filed in January.

The $32 million is the largest salary for a player in his arbitration years, surpassing the $31 million Juan Soto made in 2024.
The $13 million gap between Skubal's number and the team's number was the largest in arbitration history

Literally just got a text an hour ago announcing him running for congress
President Trump is saving America - but he needs our help.

I'm Blake Miguez, and today I'm announcing my campaign to represent you in Congress.

I'm a 7th generation Louisianian, a small business owner, and a husband and father of four.

As House Majority Leader and then as a State Senator, I've stood for the MAGA agenda for a decade.

I've led Republicans in protecting life, passing Constitutional Carry, banning sanctuary cities, banning Zuckerbucks in our elections, fighting for lower taxes, cutting waste and fraud with LA DOGE, and getting men out of women's sports and private spaces.

In Congress, I'll never waver from pursuing the same MAGA agenda that makes life safer and more affordable for all our families.

STOP to end.

the "headspoon", the 2 stripes that go around the neck has looked too thick last couple of years

while conversely, the staircase LSU on the grays needs to be thicker

The games on tv seem to me to lack atmosphere a lot of times, or at least cant see the crowd well

I think its because half the league play In stadiums with tracks, or had tracks but the stadiums werent modified

bologna, Como, Fiorentina, Verona, Lecce, Napoli, Pisa, Torino and Roma/Lazio all have fans far back because of the track

I think others did also but had renovations
Had just finished reading it
These stats were pretty unbelievable

The Lakers had missed the playoffs twice in 34 seasons under Jerry Buss; by spring 2024, they had missed the playoffs seven times in the 11 seasons since.

They had won 10 titles under Buss; they had won one since. They had posted the NBA's best winning percentage under Buss; they had posted the 26th-best since.

Since the team moved from Minneapolis to Los Angeles, seven of the team's 11 worst seasons in terms of winning percentage -- including the four worst -- had all come since Buss died and Jeanie took over.

Also Jeanie was all nude in Playboy in the 90s. Very nice
