Kirby Lee-USA TODAY Sports
ESPN's Kirk Herbstreit has finally had enough of Ohio State fans and their Fiesta Bowl conspiracy theories. On Monday, he jumped on Twitter and ripped into some of them who keep bombarding him with conspiracies surrounding the SEC referees and ESPN having a bias against Ohio State...

A product of sports. People identify too much with their team and do and say insane shite. Not surprising. Bama fans can confirm this.

Good God why would ESPN not want OSU vs LSU. Heisman winner vs his old school. The rating would be way bigger than what we have now. Plus, LSU had already won the game had nothing to with LSU.

Cause osu would not even show up or attempt to score in the red zone like they did vs Clemson so Ohio State said yah better to have Clemson vs LSU have those high flying offense out there. Ohio St beat themselves

Funny how now conspiracy theories are ridiculous to LSU fans except when they perceive "Bammer" is behind them. Not saying I believe any of this but there's an obvious hypocrisy here.

Bama fans, this isn’t about you. I know you all think college football revolves around you but it doesn’t. See you next year.

It's too bad we can't play and beat both these biatchez. OSU has some of the most inbred fans who still can't deal with this loss and thinks WE had something to do with it? LOL, we WANTED OSU to shut them up and have Joe completely dismantle them. That would have sold much more than Clemson. Everyone wanted that game and yet your overrated team (again) couldn't win when it counted. B1G will never come close to the SEC even if they try and recruit all players from the South. The only conspiracy I see that is valid was you guys were literally propped up by the media for this matchup and you choked.

Sir, LSU does NOT "rattle pom poms". That weak-arse shite is left to the teams from Alabama.

Bigger myth: "LSU fans don't shake pom-poms" or "Leonard Fournette only ran into 8-man fronts"? No matter how many times these window-lickers get embarrassed by facts they keep spouting this.

Amazing how last year when aTm had the benefit of the incomplete pass against LSU everyone was crowing that was the right call and LSU fans need to grow up. That call was a game deciding call on its own and it cost us a game and a better bowl. The call against tOSU was consistent with the call last yr...

Maybe the SEC office will get their head out of their a$$ and finally take a look at this farce they call officiating! The rest of the college football world sees how terrible they are now!

SEC officiating is garbage. We can all agree upon that. Kumbaya That being said, it’s good to see we aren’t the only fan base with people thinking there’s an ESPN conspiracy against their team. LOL. However, as was said, the market that makes up OSU has little to worry about with any media outlet conspiring against them getting in a playoff game. It’s ludicrous. Back when I was a kid and national champs were decided by the opinions of the media alone, Southern teams had something to gripe about, but those days are long gone thankfully.

Herbie is on point. Even as a Buckeye fan, I didn’t think the game was that controversial, save for that incomplete pass. Some fans are just absolutely embarrassing, and twitter brings out the worst of them.

Ive said it before. The targeting call was the correct call and the strip fumble should have stood. All that having been said, OSU still had chances. The conspiracy theories are ridiculous.
