Yearly increases in cost of medical care since Medicare/Medicaid

And

Yearly increases on cost of college tuition since the federal government started guaranteeing student loans

The trajectories would look remarkably similar.

The per student allocation would merely shift to the new district. Now, would some parents with kids in private schools go to public, possibly, which would increase the number of kids and would technically reduce the overall per pupil allocation. It would be minimal.

You were not made to chose a party for your registration, only for whichever primary (and runoff) you will cast a vote in.

You could have remained no party and not have voted in the primaries - only for amendments and other non-partisan measures (millages, fire protection districts, etc.)
