He’s bought in and plays the troll with opposing conferences. It’s actually quite funny.

It’s official. Herbstreit has now become a douchey Walmart t shirt fan. I’m surprised he didn’t sign off with “sec speed” and a yee haw

He’s still pissed about the 92 Citrus Bowl.

He's been told to say that by ESPN since they dropped all that money buying the SEC contract away from CBS. B1G homers never admit that their glory days are behind them. Joke's on us. We will soon have to listen to him and Fowler muck up games.

That’s idiotic. Herbie and Fowler are two of the best in the business.

Can't blame Fowler for mixing up Chase/Jefferson a few times. LSU's tempo was so fast that you often couldn't see where each player was before there was another completion.

Well, he's not wrong

He played at tOSU and has (2) kids at Clempson. Can we stop the Kirk hates LSU non-sense?

I think if you asked the LSU players which team would give them the most trouble if they played them again, not that they wouldn't win again, it would be: Alabama, Auburn, Florida, Clemson in that order.

Why did ESPN have Clemson winning% at 60 at start of game when Vegas had us favored?

Some computer nerd at ESPN made up his own expected performance metric. No one knows what factors the "FPI" uses, but it obviously needs to be refined. Bama was still favored to beat us after we smashed them. LSU is still ranked 3rd behind both Clemson and Ohio State despite winning the NC and going 15-0 with the best season resume in the history of the sport.

@Mahootney I agree that the FPI is just a weird index but LSU smashed Bama? Hardly. It was a good competitive game that LSU won but let's not re-write history with what you WANTED to happen.

The SEC West is the big deal....since 2009 a team from the SEC West has been NC or runner up every year with the exception of 2014 and then Bama made the playoff. Note 2011 both the NC and the runner up was from the West (Bama/LSU)

The SEC has had a team in the national title game or college football playoff SIXTEEN TIMES since the BCS was implemented in 1998. The SEC won it all in 12 of those trips. How can that type of domination be overrated?

LSU & Clem Vs Top Ten Teams (Vs Other teams): (1) Records - LSU 7-0 (8-0), Clemson 1-1 (13-0); (2) Offensive YPG - LSU 565 (572), Clem 406 (548); (3) Def YPG - LSU 402 (292), Clem 572 (244); (4) YPG Differential - LSU +163 (+280), Clem -166 (+304); (5) Margin of Victory - LSU +15 (+36), Clem -6 (+36). So, yeah, Clemson played a weak schedule. Notice especially the YPG differential against Top Ten teams: LSU +163 and Clem -166; that itself is a difference of 329 YPG, which is astounding! One last thing...GEAUX TIGERS!
