Agree and we went 12-0 in the regular season with Beck at the helm so we will be fine without Raiola.

Maybe in 2024, but afterwards is what I’m concerned about.

Does Nebraska take Riola or Kyle McCord out of tOSU?

Yeah as long as we have a stout defense and run game, we can plug in a transfer QB if need be.

All of it makes a difference, but none if it is definitive enough to change the teams' prospects.

We've seen 2 savior 5 QBs leave, and two years afterwards we go B2B with a guy who really wants to be here. Then we go 12-0 for the third straight year with a non-5* who stayed when most kids would leave in the same position.

I don't think Riola makes this decision because it's dumb, but if he does we lean on the coaches and the culture to do what they've proven they can do.

I'm not complacent, but I'm certainly not worried.

4 points away from 3 straight CFP brackets? Yeah, Kirby knows what's up.

My $0.02 for what it's worth is IF you/Riola is already thinking this way then BYE BYE! Don't take my money to "see" what happens and then leave in a year with my money. The truth is that THIS is what is going to happen from now on with the NIL and transfer portal. Kids staying 3-4 at one college are going to be rare. Once we start paying them for their cut of jersey and hat sales it will get worse. This kid hasn't played one down of college football just like the rest of the incoming class. But I want the guy that is trying to make himself better on the field, in the weight room, immersing himself in GA football. Not the kid sitting at the breakfast table counting clicks and likes on their social media thinking they deserve more than the offer THEY already accepted! Good luck to him in whatever he decides to do, but if he chooses UGA the next thing I want to hear about him is how hard he is working and being a part of the team.

If the SoFlDawg dork on the other site is posting about it, then it's already done. That guy never misses.

This has already been the shittiest month for the Georgia football program since the COVID year. But a month like this was bound to happen. Everything had been going right for a really long time.

But we'll be okay. In Kirby We Trust

It smacks of fear of competition, and that's unfortunate. I thought he was made of tougher stuff than that. Puglisi's response to the Raiola commitment spoke volumes about his character.

At the end of the day, we want the kids who want to be Dawgs.

Right on point Peter Buck. The NIL is having more of an impact. Look at what Jimbo did with 5 star recruiting classes at A&M. Not much.

Better to get this kids situation settled now, than to wait until we have to trust or depend on him. Kirby will find a QB that he can trust to win games, I am sure of that.

Agree completely.

I still think Fields was better than Fromm, but if that's the result of a guy being here and not liking his role, I'd rather he never signed at all.

This offense is harder to pick up than the 2019 offense. Riola will have a hard time winning the job. If he expects to start year one, not just compete and sees what happens, we're looking at another contentious situation.

There's a lot hinging on Beck's decision. Vandagriff already transferred. You would think he had some inside information that swayed his decision. If Beck goes to the draft that leaves Gunner and Raiola. He would have every opportunity to start as a freshman.

With how shite Nebraska is...this just goes to show program success means little to these kids.

It's NIL and will be

Hope Kirby has embraced this

https://www.si.com/college/georgia/news/what-does-dylan-raiolas-commitment-mean-for-ryan-puglisi

quote:

Dawgs Daily asked Ryan Puglisi what would happen if Raiola did ever commit to Georgia, and his answer was simple. “I’m a Georgia Bulldog.” When asked again today what this commitment means to his commitment he responded, “You know my answer already.”

So though Georgia finds itself in a very interesting situation, the answer to it is quite simple. If Puglisi is dead set on becoming a Bulldog and believes that he can win the starting position, he will sign if Georgia. If not, he will likely decommit and search for a spot elsewhere. Regardless, it is unlikely that both quarterbacks finish their careers as Bulldogs.

However, while the news of Raiola's commitment was a talking point for many, it was expected news for Puglisi. Even before he committed to Georgia in October, he knew the Bulldogs were taking two quarterbacks in the 2024 class.

"There were a lot of text messages, 'Are you still locked in?' " said Puglisi, who is the No. 12 quarterback in the nation. "I said the same exact thing in February. It doesn't change now. I made a decision on October 16. It's May 15 right now. Still nothing changes."

In fact, when Raiola announced his decision, it made public what Puglisi knew for a while.

"It was nothing, nothing surprising," Puglisi said. "We've been talking about it for months now. They've been upfront with me throughout the entire process. Obviously, I'm happy, happy for Dylan. He chose a school just like I did. It's hard to say no to that place.

"They got a great culture and great coaches around you. Super excited for that program. His decision changes nothing for me. Obviously, I know wherever I have to go, I'm gonna have to go out and have to compete whether he's behind me or whether he's in front of me."

Puglisi views the commitment as nothing more than the expected competition of heading to the two-time defending national champs.

"Even when I am there, say I am a starting quarterback as a sophomore, (offensive coordinator) coach (Mike) Bobo is gonna try to bring in another quarterback next year," Puglisi said. "So obviously doesn't change my decision. I'm gonna go there to compete. Happy for Dylan. Great choice and excited for the future."
