Damn it, we can’t hit. We aren’t seeing anything special after their starter. Swing and miss, looking at strikes. Defense is below average. Not a good combo for post season play.

2-0 bad guys after 2. We are good at hitting into dbl plays to end the innings.

How do you feel on the Carnivore Diet? I've heard it makes you feel bad at first.
I feel great now. The first week was a little rough adjusting to the diet. Some headaches, upset stomach, but pretty much by week 3 I could tell a change for the better. Now, no headaches, by bad knees feel better, snoring is almost gone per the wife, I didn't get the flu that went around work in January.
Didn't mean for this to turn into a Q&A on the the diet but just to show some food that I think we can all relate to.

What’s the deal with that strip loin? I’m going to guess it’s local and grass fed? Crazy lean, very little marbling. Interested to hear the story there.
The side you see with the knife on it was the fat cap side. There was a lot of hard fat, and silver skin. I trimmed it all down to what you see. The pic with the steaks cut had some pretty good fat through the meat. I smoked these first at around 225 for a couple hours so some of the fat rendered out before putting them on the Blackstone.

You mad bro?!? :moon:
It was actually bought at Kroger. They had the whole thing cryovaced and it was $6.99/lbs uncut. Sorry, not going to buy the $250 Snake River Farms for my first attempt breaking down that size of a piece meat. But thanks for stopping by and looking.

I'll attach this for a read. My BM's are good, I think because I am switching up the meats I eat and not just sticking to chicken or steak. I add in as much seafood as I want and sushi. I'm still a regular 2 times a day guy.

To be honest, food wise, I am 100% on Carnivore where I slack is that I still have a couple beers every day.
What got me on this, was a photo taken of me on a trip at dinner and my side profile pic was not very good. You could see the overweight. I weighed around 218-220 at 5'8. As of today I'm at 190 and my blood work numbers are much better. My good cholesterol is up and my bad cholesterol is down 12 points but still about 8-10 away from where the Dr wants. My BP is much better to the point I passed the first time in the Dr's office without her having to retake it manually vs with the machine. My wife says my snoring is next to nothing now. I sleep through the night. No more late night bathroom breaks. I drink a ton of water everyday.
Full disclosure, my Dr does not like the Carnivore diet but she says, " the numbers don't lie". She'd rather see me on a Mediterranean diet to get some veggies. When I go back in May for bloodwork if my cholesterol continues to get better she will take me off the cholesterol medicine. That was a goal as well.
The diet is not cheap but its not terribly expensive if you food prep at the beginning of the week with bulk foods. Thanks Costco. I find I have to food prep to keep the temptation down to cheat. This is not a forever diet for me, 5 more lbs and I'll incorporate some veggies, but probably very little bread and no more boxed food. You'd be surprised how many resteraunts will "cater" to the Carnivore if you just tell them ahead of time. Maybe like adding the meat you order, or adding a couple fried eggs. Snacks that I have on hand are boiled eggs, snake river farms meat sticks, cheddar slices, mozzarella medallions.
Todays breakfast- Bacon, Egg, and Cheese in a egg wrap
Lunch- Cottage cheese, and medium sirloin
Dinner- 2 chicken thighs, a fried egg, couple small pieces of cheddar chesse.
Scale pic taken last Saturday
BP numbers are from a blood pressure machine in my office.

Couple of cooks for fun

Weather getting warner, time to break the grills and smokers back out. Atttached a couple cooks I've done at the house messing around. First are some simple Hot Honey Butter Smoked Chicken Thighs, and then a whole strip loin I trimmed and seperated into individual steaks. You cane see the amount of hard fat that got trimmed off. I don't have a pic but I got fmedium size mason jar full of tallow rendering down the fat. For the steaks I smoked them at 225 until reaching 115 degrees, and then seared them on the blackstone and pulled at 120 "ish" and let them rest. I know I'm bias but they were really good and they kept well in the fridge, eating on them the rest of the week. Enjoy!

Lol. Not sure how I feel about these antics. Funny on one band, but also...it's Kennesaw state... regardless, maybe my theory about Phelps will come true through Curley. I can see him making folks angry.
I kinda liked it. The guy at 2nd had chirped at him from what I saw. I think everyone was expecting a FB but he tricked them hanging that pitch in there. Buckled the batter pretty good. Good pitch!
