Mistake or not, no one will know for sure. Pay the fine, make sure team understands the situation. Get ready for Sugar Bowl.

Kicking game will have best chance to win. I like our chances.

College football looks the same for now, but for how long.
"What makes this meeting even stranger is that it may not matter at all. The way the new College Football Playoff works, Georgia and Alabama might very well end up playing again in a few weeks. Maybe even in this same building. Maybe even for something that the the white guys in suits will insist is “bigger.” Spare me.The stakes have never been lower for a game that still makes everyone sick to their stomach."
No matter what Kirby says, IMHO, I think he would rather not be in this game. It's all about the playoffs, and nothing to be gained by playing another game that could injure more players. I know what it means more money for the fat cats and ESPN, but UGA needs healthy players more than money.

Any player flipping to Vandy over Georgia is getting some bad advice. This year is an outlier for Vandy and he will learn that the hard way. SEC defenses ain't lower class high-school.
Kiffin to LSU will be like Saban

to LSU. The best coaching hires in last 25 years are Saban to LSU, changed program to a point they were winning NCS's 10 years after he left. Next, Saban to Bama speaks for itself. Smart to UGA no explanation necessary. I think Kiffin to LSU could be the next big hire, he's the best offensive coach in college football. Say what you will about him personally he will make LSU football a must see. National titles are worth $100's of millions to these schools, that's why they are willing to pay 50, 60, 70 million buyouts. I will add what Kirby has done at UGA will bring untold amounts of money for many years. 1980 and number 34 are still living in the minds of us old coots, 2021and 2022 will do the same for decades.
re: Definitely was an off night for Gunner.

Don't see it that way, Gunner made some tough hardnosed runs while Tech was hitting him late and trying to knock him out of the game. He is one tough son of a Gun.
My prediction

Based on team stats and guessing, I think Dawgs score 38 to 45 points vs Tech 27 to 31. Do Tech players want to play 4 quarters, or do they want to get ready for portal. We know Dawgs will play 60 minutes with all on the line. Last year will keep Dawgs focused and ready.
Game played out well for Kirby, no injuries, played lots of guys, good teaching points. Get ready, Tech will be a total effort.

At Baton rouge, flown in on LSU plane. If I'm Ole Miss he declares one way or other or gets gone. I think Ole Miss will be better off without all the Drama, and Kiffin.
Probably a combination of both, since I waited 20 years for UGAs 1980 Championship and 40 years for the next one.
Some thoughts on next game

Texas is a very good run defense, best in SEC at 75 YPG, but passing defense is 12th at 235 YPG. Texas has middle of SEC in total offense at 10th. They will try to hit big pass plays all night long, it's going to be a test for Dawgs corners and safety's. Dawgs need to stay out of long 3th downs and have some success on ground, and keep TX offense off field. I don't see this game becoming a shoot out, but do see both teams in 20 to 30 point range. The one point that sticks out about TX, in last 5 games they have given up 298,210,258,382,365 passing yards. I like our chances at home, but its going to be deep 4th quarter battle.
Dawgs are one of best teams

In SEC defending 20-40 yards explosive plays. That is a big part of State's offense. So IMHO, limit the long plays, stop the run and control the ball with long drives. I'm sure it won't work out that way but if it does Dawgs win and control this game 34-20. I think game will be won in 3th quarter, with State throwing it all over the field trying to make a comeback in fourth.
re: What If? . . .

If you look back over the really good Dooley and Richt teams, there was a lot of close games, we just accepted it as normal. Coaching is more important now since stockpiling players is harder. 2021, 2022 may be last years of having dominate rosters. College football in the SEC will be more like NFL, QB, Edge rusher, shut down corners and receivers will be a premium. I think what you see of this team, is what you will see next year. A team that could make a playoff run or a team that might not make the playoffs. If you don't like to be stressed watching Dawgs, better find something else to do, me Munson and my radio spent many of a Saturday pleating for Dawgs to hunker down. The victory's were great, loses didn't kill me, I'm still kicking.
Another 4th quarter game, Dawgs win a close one 27-24.

is crazy, his previous record and personality, was plain as day. No way you should hire any coach for $80-100 million unless they are proven championship coaches. Maybe they have oil money to blow, but buying out coaches at $50+ million is nuts. Why not put a few more million in players and new coordinators. The fans will ultimately be the piggy bank that funds all this.
So if Kiffin gets a 13-million-dollar multi year deal?
Posted by PCDAWG on 10/25/25 at 6:58 am
How many of those 80- 100 million dollar deals work out in the long run? Just curious, maybe, but looks like future sec schedules will be tough, every team will play 4,5,6 teams maybe more that are just as talented. Paying out that kind of money before winning even an SEC title is a huge bet, nothing but National championships will be accepted. Lose one game those lizards will go nuts.
For us old Dawgs, he is the modern fersion of the great Andy Johnson.
What a show, that's why folks all over country

watch Dawgs, love or hate. This is a game UGA fans remember for a long time. I know UGA fans will pick something Dawgs coaching and players, could do better, but, sometimes just enjoy the victory. Take a week off and enjoy life for a week or two. Trust me, Kirby will have team ready for WGOCP
Ole Miss is good, lot better than last week, Kiffin was prepping for us the last three weeks. 7 point spread makes no sense to me, I see a late 4th quarter game. Kicking game and turn overs could decide this game. 33-30 type of game. Prepare to get stressed out again, that's where we are at this year.
