Probably a combination of both, since I waited 20 years for UGAs 1980 Championship and 40 years for the next one.
Some thoughts on next game

Texas is a very good run defense, best in SEC at 75 YPG, but passing defense is 12th at 235 YPG. Texas has middle of SEC in total offense at 10th. They will try to hit big pass plays all night long, it's going to be a test for Dawgs corners and safety's. Dawgs need to stay out of long 3th downs and have some success on ground, and keep TX offense off field. I don't see this game becoming a shoot out, but do see both teams in 20 to 30 point range. The one point that sticks out about TX, in last 5 games they have given up 298,210,258,382,365 passing yards. I like our chances at home, but its going to be deep 4th quarter battle.
Dawgs are one of best teams

In SEC defending 20-40 yards explosive plays. That is a big part of State's offense. So IMHO, limit the long plays, stop the run and control the ball with long drives. I'm sure it won't work out that way but if it does Dawgs win and control this game 34-20. I think game will be won in 3th quarter, with State throwing it all over the field trying to make a comeback in fourth.

If you look back over the really good Dooley and Richt teams, there was a lot of close games, we just accepted it as normal. Coaching is more important now since stockpiling players is harder. 2021, 2022 may be last years of having dominate rosters. College football in the SEC will be more like NFL, QB, Edge rusher, shut down corners and receivers will be a premium. I think what you see of this team, is what you will see next year. A team that could make a playoff run or a team that might not make the playoffs. If you don't like to be stressed watching Dawgs, better find something else to do, me Munson and my radio spent many of a Saturday pleating for Dawgs to hunker down. The victory's were great, loses didn't kill me, I'm still kicking.
Another 4th quarter game, Dawgs win a close one 27-24.

is crazy, his previous record and personality, was plain as day. No way you should hire any coach for $80-100 million unless they are proven championship coaches. Maybe they have oil money to blow, but buying out coaches at $50+ million is nuts. Why not put a few more million in players and new coordinators. The fans will ultimately be the piggy bank that funds all this.
So if Kiffin gets a 13-million-dollar multi year deal?
Posted by PCDAWG on 10/25/25 at 6:58 am
How many of those 80- 100 million dollar deals work out in the long run? Just curious, maybe, but looks like future sec schedules will be tough, every team will play 4,5,6 teams maybe more that are just as talented. Paying out that kind of money before winning even an SEC title is a huge bet, nothing but National championships will be accepted. Lose one game those lizards will go nuts.
For us old Dawgs, he is the modern fersion of the great Andy Johnson.
What a show, that's why folks all over country

watch Dawgs, love or hate. This is a game UGA fans remember for a long time. I know UGA fans will pick something Dawgs coaching and players, could do better, but, sometimes just enjoy the victory. Take a week off and enjoy life for a week or two. Trust me, Kirby will have team ready for WGOCP
Ole Miss is good, lot better than last week, Kiffin was prepping for us the last three weeks. 7 point spread makes no sense to me, I see a late 4th quarter game. Kicking game and turn overs could decide this game. 33-30 type of game. Prepare to get stressed out again, that's where we are at this year.

Dawgs are getting better each week, hopefully we get a pass rush, that will make very good base tendencies.

Just play football, block, tackle, make plays, just do your job. I trust Kirby to have them ready to play. Its going to be physical, bloody nose, no fair dodging GATA kind of game.
Let's hope that players heal up, and the backups get valuable playing time. Mostly let's hope we win while all this happens. Dawgs are a good team, working on being a very good team.
Unless Branch or someone makes a few big scoring plays this could be something like 14-3 at half and Dawgs pull away in 4th Qt, 24-10. If We turn it over, who knows.

The main difference as I see it, trying to play freshman tackle and guard, no effective pass rush and breaking in a first time QB. All these problems can improve this year, but who knows how much. To me pass rush is main problem, otherwise Dawgs are playing well enough to win, baring turnovers. Looks like a few close games that could go either way.

Transfer portal gives and takes away. Kirby is learning like all coaches and will have to take more transfers next year. Teams are being rebuilt all over country in one year. Look at Ole Miss for example and what they lost and how now are supposably the best team in SEC. Surely the UGA program can match $$$ with Ole Miss. Still have to recruit well, but times are changing fast and have completely turned 180 degrees. Kirby is a smart man, you better change fast are, get out like Saban. If not, take a look at Clemson, that's the old model. Also, IMHO, offense will be more in play than trying to dominate on defense. The 5,6,7 Million dollar QB's in college will be common place and edge rushers, corners will be much in demand.

This game might be the difference if Dawgs make playoffs. Going to be very difficult to beat every remaining team. 9-3 record is not good enough, unless rest of teams in sec are 9-3. Beating Aub is a must win. This is why a 16 or more team playoff is coming and will be a big boost to POPULARITY of college football.
I am an old Georgia fan, sure I enjoy a win as much

as anyone, but the losses don't bother me like some other folks. Been around UGA football for a long time, first game Columbus 1957, a loss. Over the hundreds of games I seen or heard Munson call or on TV win or lose I looked forward to every single one of those games. There has been many winning streaks and losing streaks, and in every one Dawgs broke those streaks and created a winning streak. Tech, Aub, UT, FL, all those old streaks are history and now Georgis has winning streaks or records against all those teams. As for as UA, you don't have to like it, but they have been winning going back a hundred years. They can be beat and probably will be beat before season is over. Dawgs are still in hunt and I am looking forward to this weekend, GO Dawgs.
The Saban process that Kirby used to build Back to Back

Championships will no longer work in this new NIL era. Teams just can't stockpile quality depth anymore and your best players might transfer to highest bidder. They no longer have to wait for NFL money. Parity is everywhere throughout college football and best teams could lose 2-3 games. The new SEC 9 game schedule will have teams beating each other up, like NFL teams. Its a whole new era of college football, lot of fans still live in the old era but its a new deal now. Winning is going to more about money. coaching and hoping your team can stay healthy. To offset the parity, I wouldn't be surprised to see a 16 to 24 team playoff soon. All this may be good for fans, personally, I hope so. Who would ever thought the NFL would be so popular.
