Raiola to Nebraska?

Steve Wilfong of 247 just flipped his crystal ball from UGA to Nebraska. He’s not perfect but he’s right a lot more than he is wrong. But with that being said what’s with these kids at Buford not going to Athens? Seems like a lot of good recruits come out of Buford and they always seem to go to other schools?

Don’t think it has to do with Buford. Isn’t he from Cali?

Even Pete thamel tweeted about it :Sources: Nebraska coaches have communicated with in-state QB commitment Daniel Kaelin that they are again in contention for a commitment from Top 10 recruit Dylan Raiola, who is committed to UGA. Nebraska coaches have made clear that they still would honor Kaelin’s commitment.

Pretty sure he moved to Ga from Arizona but I think he bounced around some before that

None of the family ties are new developments. Supposedly he was supposed to early enroll possibly even next week. Maybe he backed off wanting to finish the year in HS and our coaches didn’t like that? Maybe we told him Beck is coming back and he thought he’d be able to at least compete for being starter right away and now he can’t? It’s so weird and out of left field. As recently as this weekend he was encouraging KJ Bolden to flip to us.

Nebraska folks supposedly saying we told him that we would look in the portal for a QB if Beck goes pro.

Which makes ZERO sense considering Nebraska literally just used the portal for a QB NEXT year.

Could be a principle issue that Raiola/ fam are taking too hard. If original plan was Raiola vs Stockton etc in 24 then fine but now the possibility of a transfer is unexpected? Idk. I don’t like it.

We can go to the portal and get another experienced QB any year, not that worried in the new reality of NIL

Yeah…this only makes sense if he wants to play as a true freshman. Beck has one more year (if that) and then it’s just him and Stockton. Where else is he going to find top tier team’s QB room that open?
