In terms of personal favorites:
Knowshon was one of my favorite Dawgs of all time. If you didn't like watching him play, you didn't like football.
Hard to top Chubb/Sony though for pure likeability, and I think you have to package them almost as one item on any list because you simply can't talk about one without the other.
Very underrated, btw, was Musa Smith. Always loved Munson calling a "toss sweep with big Musa"

Willie McLendon, Robert Edwards.

Tim Worley was pretty electrifying in his day. Him and Keith Henderson mad a great duo. Sad thing about Henderson, the last I heard of him he was homeless.

It’s gotta be Chubb and Sony because of their performance on the field but more importantly how they carried themselves off the field.
They never got in trouble for anything I can remember AND stayed their senior season.

I enjoyed watching Gurley run more than Sony or Chubb. Swift is a lot of fun to watch as well - never seen a RB change directions as fast as him.
From what they did for the school though I'd go with Sony followed closely by Chubb.

Chubb and Michel after Herschel. Sad that so few said Garrison Hearst, who I loved as a RB at UGA. Electric player.

Was not aware of that. Very sad to hear it.

It was before AL gore invented the internet.
And before every game was televised.
I'm surprised and not surprised that so few had mentioned Garrison Hearst.
I do laugh though. Every time I read how likeable Sony and Chubb are, I try to think of when Hearst, Edwards, Davis, Moreno, Worley, Hampton, and Tate were not likeable.

Thomas Brown for me. Not the "best", but my favorite.

I have never had more fun watching football than when Gurley was on the team.
Every time he touched the ball it felt like something special was going to happen.

Hard for me to pick a favorite after HW. We've had so many good ones. I'll tell you what one of my favorite memories was re. our RBs though...
Watching Henderson, Worley, and Lars Tate run roughshod over a #1-ranked Florida team in 1985 with nearly 300 yards rushing between the 3 of them, and a TD each.

If you don't Knowshon you don't know shite. Have yal ever heard that saying?
Definitively Knowshon
Followed by Gurley (I know it was outside his control, but he’d be #1 if he played in more games)
Then Sony

Recency bias - those guys were all great.

Chubb and Sony
IMO, Gurley was our best most talented RB but wasn't on the field often enough due to suspension for me to consider him my favorite.

He was set up by a Florida fan, forced the governor to change the law to make it a felony for shitheels to entice student athletes into breaking rules. The Gurley Rule. The man is a hero.

Skipping his senior season was totally in his control. I understand the argument for going early, but ...

I’ve only seen two players I’ve personally felt were unstoppable when they played for Georgia. Threats at any time and this is only when I have been watching. Those 2 were AJ Green and Todd Gurley.
The suspension was unfortunate as was his injury but I think he’s the 2nd most talented player to ever don the red and black. He was friggin monster from the moment he arrived in Athens until his last game.
From there I’d go
2. Sony Michel
3. Nick Chubb
4. Thomas Brown
5. Knowshon Moreno
JK, my favorites are easily Washburn Ealey, Caleb King, Michael Cooper, Danny Ware, Carlton Thomas, Kregg Lumpkin and Prather Hudson.
