Just to be clear, I think they've done a great job of identifying guys that fit what they want to do as a team, and more importantly, guys that are willing to stick with them. They've had *very* little attrition relative to what other top teams see. They also haven't recruited at an "elite" level, where they stacked high 4 and 5* talent necessarily either. Only recently, have they started to pull quite at that high of a level, and even still, because of the lack of attrition, they usually aren't taking a full class since they still have to stay under the 85.

The irony with Kirbys " I've been coaching for 25 years..."

That same week both Brandon Adams and mike griffith each threw out the same card on their individual podcasts.

It is what people say.
Are there better ways to say things? Probably. But it is built in to the human vernacular that journalists roll it out there without even thinking.

I do love how many guys seem to think that "not a team-oriented player" is going to be considered an asset in the NFL.

This is a businesses. Kids who work hard and make smart decisions are an asset to any business.

I can't blame the guy. If transferring means millions of dollars then go for it. Better to do it in the offseason, though.

That said, it's a whole lot easier to say when Georgia is stacked at the position. If he going to leave anyway in fine to go ahead and get other guy the snaps.

With that said, pretty sure they tried like hell to keep Kelly Bryant when he announced he was going to transfer, and when he decided to leave mid-season (after getting demoted) Dabo decided to deny giving him a ring.

Good for Dabo. Any player that quits on his team when supplanted by a better player shouldn't get anything. Bryant could have helped his (former) team and (former) teammates when Trevor Lawrence got injured had he stayed.
Look at the class Jalen Hurts showed at Alabama.

Politics? Is Ojulari’s family African royalty or something? Is Nolan Smith related to the Obamas? These morons act like coaches don’t play their kids enough because of back room deals with whoever the frick but can’t ever detail who that is. frick you Jay. I’m glad your kid has a bit more class than you. Also if you look back at his recruiting his dad was never present. It was his mom or sister or brother or whatever. Dad didn’t exist. Now he does and all of a sudden there’s discontentment.

Bryant quit the team in the middle of the season. I fail to see the issue here.

Did I say I had a problem with it? I was saying they didn't seem to take that hard-line stance until AFTER her left the team. They tried to keep him when they were concerned that the loss to depth was a problem.

The dad seems like a jackass, this isn't fricking little league. He actually said the coaching staff "hated" him. What the frick does that mean? Sucks that kids have to deal with parents like that

Also: "Politics at its finest..."

What does that mean? What are the "politics" that he is inferring caused his son to get less snaps or caused Anderson, Ojulari or Smith to get more snaps?

And businesses absolutely adore people who come in, take their time and resources, and then leave. A business hires people to make money for *the business*, not the other way around.

Of course. Being considerate is usually the best way to go about doing things. Be polite and professional, and it not only looks better to your prior employer, it looks better to a future one, too.

Florida fans are always saying Kirby wastes talent, but looking at Florida's defense. They have so much talent on that D, but they were pathetic
