Suit’s obviously being used as a tool. Speaking of tools, is Cade being forgiven for the “and Tennessee too” singing?
Might be some of the cancer Kirby was talking about.
I don’t think even the NCAA is stupid enough to grant immediate eligibility, but they’ve done more stupid stuff.
Mays family turns out to be pretty low rent.

well, we won't name a certain qb who screamed racism - when the rest of the team had no problem - because that will bring the you-know-whats out of the closet

Cade Mays has “hired” Tom Mars to help him with the waiver. They intend to use the discovery process in the lawsuit as leverage to force cooperation.

I hate to say this ..... but we’re about to find out if there are any shenanigans going on with recruiting. You have the parent of a recruit...suing UGA looking for $$......looking to transfer...and discovery being discussed.
Oh boy.
Oh boy.

Idk I wouldn't mind seeing them grant eligibility. Will be fun watching our D crush his face.

Not sure how Mars can be "hired" by the Mays family since he works for the NCAA.

His work with the ncaa is over.
But it certainly is a conflict.

On the plus side, Kevin Mays gets 10% off all manicures, so he's got that going for him...

Dude doesn't know how to fold a chair. How smart could his offspring be?

Fields and multiple other players have.

I wonder if other players spoke honestly about Cade if it would be positive or negative

From today's GTP post:
He's going with the "hostile work environment" shtick. You can pretty much take that to the bank.

This route is probably less aggravating than doing away with all folding chairs in Athens so that family is safe.

“hostile work environment“
He’d have to prove the hostile work environment already exists not that it would exist. So what are the specific examples of Cade currently being in a hostile environment?
What have people said or done to create this environment?

Who screamed racism other than Dan Wolken? For what it's worth, Tom Mars and Justin Fields both said that racism wasn't the issue that they used.

The NCAA had already been looking bad with their arbitrary granting of waivers. This should push it over the cliff. Anyone but the most extreme UT homer can see what's going on here.
If the NCAA had any backbone, they would refuse to grant the waiver. If they grant it, they are opening the floodgates for universities to endure crap like this going forward. Who knows what the next scheme will be when some entitled kid decides that he wants to transfer without sitting out a year...
Meanwhile, UGA should fight the suit to include counter-suing the Mays family for any legal costs that the university incurs.

What was the issue then?
Here is the reason from the NCAA
quote:
The NCAA can grant immediate eligibility to a transferring player who has "documented mitigating circumstances that are outside the student-athlete's control and directly impact the health, safety and well-being of the student-athlete."
