The first half vs bama? Let’s do it for 4 q’s this time.

Let’s not. He’s a great story and has played well during this stretch against teams that we simply out talent. Look at UA and UF last year teams with similar talent. We need a healthy JT to finish this.

Bama, he had one great half and one bad half. Same with our D. Both are improved since then. Don’t assume he can’t have a better game vs bama.

Florida was due to an injury suffered on a td pass, so quit bringing it up.

So it’s ok if Stet gets hurt but not JT? Listen I’m not going to convince you one way or the other. There is a reason JT played the rest of the season last year and started this year. Again, I like Stetson but he’s a 1 read guy and is not super accurate. I believe we need JT to get to the promise land.

What? No. JT had the same issue vs clemson. Do you want to ignore that?

He isn’t as good in tight windows, but he has been very accurate for most of his career. That passer rating is elite.

Tebow sucked in the NFL but was arguably the top 5 college player in history

Let me change this a little and tell me what we should do.

Fire Monken! We need a new OC!

JT needs to be the guy, period. There's a reason he was our starter and he has shown absolutely nothing on the field that would change that. Stetson is playing well and I have nothign negative to say about him, aside from that he's just not as good as JT, although that's not really a negative. We have played 2 waht I'd call "really good" or elite teams with Bennett at QB and went 0-2 in them. Against good defenses he still has a tendency to throw interceptable balls. He has definitely improved since last yera, anyone can see that, and he has been so tremendous for us. But our offense is so much more lethal with JT at QB. It just is.

This.

Stetson is an incredible talent for the short stick he was given genetically in this day and age of 6’2”+ QB’s.

We haven’t faced a team with the talent load of a Bama/Ohio state/Oklahoma etc.

JT is going to be the guy to be that next level.

I find interesting to note that the same people who said Bennett should not start and scoop up valuable snaps from the younger QBs with more possible ceiling…. because getting those guys reps would make them better… are not considering the fact that Stet has gotten a lot of reps and continues to play better each week. So much better, that now the conversation has shifted from the back ups… to the starters… just know, we see this.. we see you.

Something interesting that Smart said this week. He mentioned our offence being good but not being "explosive" thus far.

I suspect that he may be alluding to missing JT in our arsenal.

He's come a long way from his 2020 season. He's making multiple reads and not just focusing on one WR like last year.

I'm not a big fan of a two QB system, but Bennett has earned playing time. He has protected the ball pretty well, and has been very accurate with his throws. His arm seems pretty strong, too. In this case, I think playing both makes sense since they have different skill sets.

Exactly this. We have different players and abilities this year that we did not have last year. Bowers and Mitchell for two. Burton is getting healthy and back to playing form as is Blaylock.
All signs point to a better outcome verses Alabama. (I do tend to pick Bama until we beat them, but we very well could beat them this year. Alabama's Oline is not as strong and Young is not mobile. Dangerous combination)

I tend to be a bit of a pessimist, but I am feeling really good about this team.

I think he can, but usually does not. (I haven't checked his stats, so I could be wrong)

ETA
Just checked. Rushed 28 times for -2 yards. (I'm sure that counts sacks, though)

Add in that he's also a midget and I can pretty much guarantee our D-Line throwing hands up at the LOS every play is going to create problems for him.

I mean seriously look stet had Alabama on the ropes for 3 qtrs last year call it what you want but that’s impressive and was playing semi well until the kid got hurt and this year I couldn’t ask more from him.. he’s improving a shite ton every week and has prove well enough he can beat damn good competition

Has Bennett really played better? Or is UGA simply better than last year and vastly better than anyone we've played thus far?

I think some answers will come from NFL scouts, coaches, and management. If Bennett is really that good, we should start to see NFL projections this winter.
