I understand why Fields would transfer, but he could also stay at Georgia, play 4 games next year, then take over in 2020 (if Fromm turns pro) and he’d still have three seasons of eligibility.

I don't think he regresses at all. I just don't think it's worth the risk on waiting for a guy to leave, especially when Fromm doesn't seem like the leave early kind of guy.

I look at it like this...wether he was going to start next year or the following..if he wants to transfer he is obviously not confident in his ability to win the starting position over Fromm...
Does it suck sure ...but he’s a big boy...he will be fine and so will we...but his “camp” needs to make up there mind.....he needs to jet and take the media drama this is creating with him or he needs to decide what it’s going to take for him to achieve the starting position next year..stay and put in more effort than he’s ever had to and let the rest of the story tell itself

Holy shite I've never seen so much crying in one place. If Fields leaves it only proves one thing - that Fields cares more about himself than the team or the team's chances. His head has been filled with how "great" he is and when he came up against someone better, he couldn't deal with it. Good riddance if true.
