Vince Li, the man who in 2008 beheaded and partially cannibalized passenger Tim McLean on a Greyhound bus, has been granted an absolute discharge from the Manitoba Criminal Code Review Board, meaning he is no longer required to serve a sentence and can live freely in the community CBC.
Background of the Crime
On July 30, 2008, 22-year-old carnival barker Tim McLean was returning home from a fair in Alberta. 40-year-old Vince Li boarded the bus in Manitoba, sat next to McLean, and stabbed him in the neck and chest. Li then decapitated McLean, displayed his head to other passengers, and severed and consumed parts of his body Wikipedia+1. The attack lasted several hours.
Legal Proceedings
Li was found not criminally responsible for the murder in 2009 due to untreated schizophrenia, which he believed was a divine command to kill McLean Wikipedia+1. He was involuntarily committed to the Selkirk Mental Health Centre for seven years before being moved to Winnipeg for treatment CBC.
Release and Conditions
In 2015, Li was allowed to move to independent living in Winnipeg but had to follow strict conditions, including taking prescribed medications and attending counselling CBC. The review board, citing testimony from mental health professionals, concluded that the “weight of evidence” showed he does not pose a significant threat to public safety, triggering the 1999 Supreme Court of Canada ruling that allows absolute discharge when no such threat exists CBC.

I never cared for Lindsey or his politics because he was a classic fence sitter and often times went against his party if it could garner him good press. He was a press lover to the core. With that said - I would never celebrate someone's death and obviously - for whatever reason - South Carolina liked him enough to keep electing him so maybe they saw something I never saw. RIP
I feel like he was a deep stater - so maybe SC can do a little better on the political front- prepared to be disappointed but hoping for the best.
Sounds like both Turtle is also on the bucket about to drop out. It's a new day for the GOP with some of these old heads gone and some of the Senators being thrown out. Time to see if the new GOP is going to be a bunch of dem loving cucks or actually conservatives - doubtful - but we can hope.
