Kenny Hill hasn't looked good since the first game. I'm ready to see what Kyle can do with the first unit. The way I look at it, you can't get any worse than ZERO points. This team is not going to do anything anyway until Snyder, Hagen, and Anderson are replaced.

If Kyle ain't ready, it's gonna be more of the same. QB isn't the sole problem with this team.

Ah, what the hell, throw the kid in the deep end and see if he sinks or swims

ULM isn't the deep end. @Auburn is.

Agreed, but that is not the case here. I can see this being the make or break moment in Kyle's A&M career. If he doesn't win this competition, he will probably transfer. But if he isn't given a shot to win the job, he will probably transfer. I would rather see him get one more shot before we basically put it all on Kyler's shoulders.

Honestly I think Kenny wins it too. I half think this is a stunt to try and light a fire under him and make sure he doesn't take anything for granted.

It is crazy when you think of all the QB talent we have had transfer or leave early under Sumlin. He likes an Alpha QB, but you can only keep one of those in the tank at a time. At some point it becomes a depth issue.

I can see that argument being made, but I tend to think that the decision to start Kyle (or at least split reps like Jerrod/Tannehill vs Kansas 2010) has already been made. I just don't see how a coach can get a freshman's hopes up at a chance to play, only to give the job back to the same guy who has been a flop for a majority of SEC play this season.

But I have certainly been wrong before, and I'm sure I'll be wrong again at some point

At least we know Allen won't try to throw the ball to Holmes every other play.

Probably Tbird. But then I'd miss him. So would the Spurs.

Staff has decided, NOT TO ANNOUNCE. QB will be a gametime decision Saturday.

So he won't be puking in a trashcan at Northgate tonight? Good news!

FWIW I agree. Offensive problems definitely aren't all on Kenny, but he needs to up his game. I haven't yet heard anybody on the inside, even rumors, say Kyle is clearly better. Possible future transfers I would hope the staff considers irrelevant. I would like to see him, but not if Kenny is clearly out-performing him in practice. To me that would make no sense.

Garrick Williams looked better than Steven Jenkins and Jonathan Stewart in practice and HORRIBLE in games.

If they're going to ever pull the trigger this would be the game to do it. But if Kenny is clearly out-performing KA in practice (no idea whether that's happening) that would seem to me to be a change just to make a change, which KDS has already spoken on. Given today's non-news I guess we'll see Saturday.

I just hope we get some decent blocking and tackling. And effort.

I've witnessed the greatest postseason redemption run in the history of sport executed by the Spurs. Nothing can top that for me--i can die content. Plus, the black folk must perish first to honor tradition. As a black Ag, i am a slave (pun intended) to tradition.

My body is ready to be sacrificed for the sake of bringing about the prophesied era of Aggie football dominance

And for your sacrifice, you shall be greatly honored. Upon filling their first jar, all future Aggies must place it in the most grand room of their house and dedicate it to the Great TBird.

Now some may say this is going too far, but I, for one, think it is a great way to honor a great member of tArk.

Sounds like we have our answer, the twitterverse is saying Allen is the starter. The first tweet was from CBS 11 in DFW:

@CBSDFW: CBS 11 Sports has learned that #TexasA&M will change starting QB's. Kenny Hill is out. Kyle Allen is in.
