Originally the ABA franchise was the Rockets (named for the owner's long-haul trucking company). Worst baggage claim - this is a surprise: Midland-Odessa.
The plane is literally on the other side of the wall from the claim area. Yet you can go into the airport, wait in line for 20 minutes to rent the car, and then you STILL wait for your luggage.
On the opposite end of the spectrum is Denver. You go a long way from the gate to baggage claim - but your bags are there waiting for you when you arrive.
