I think it is some combination of all of those but B. As much as the rant likes to claim we were scared of a 5th loss, this bowl didnt matter in the grand scheme of things wether we won or lost it.
So to say we were scared is just a bunch of trolling on the rant, I doubt Jimbo, Bjork, or anybody up there is afraid of going 8-5 and trying to preserve our 8-4 season is just stupid. We had a mediocre season and that wasnt changing with an extra win or loss.
This was just gonna be about extra practice time and I'm sure the players that didnt opt out and coaches were looking forward to playing, even if it was with Bost or even Annias running the wildcat. Its just a mid tier bowl, nobody cares that much..... except the rant apparently. Solid 2 weeks of melting since our good recruting class and now this.

The idea that we’re ducking WAKE FOREST just because we’re afraid to lose is so nonsensical that it boggles the mind that rational humans could believe it.

tRant will always look for the negative spin on A&M. In fairness they are that way towards every school except LSU to an extent but they especially hate us because we are the biggest threat to their sense of normalcy. When A&M finally breaks through and wins the SEC it will mean that the old days of the "Big 6" and how they see the natural order of things being over. A&M will never be fully accepted and that's ok.
It just amazes me how many Aggies still think this is some brotherly club we are in that other schools will support us unless we are playing them. It never was and it never will be.

I don’t root for other SEC schools in bowl season. I hope they all lose, it really is us vs them and I’m ok with it. I agree it isn’t some club that we’re accepted in and that’s ok, we don’t need to be

I mean... on one hand... we can say we care about player safety above all else which, regardless of how you feel about CV19, should be considered an admirable thing.
Of course on the other... yeah... I don't think a concern for player health was why we canceled one bit and it's a pretty bad look that we weren't willing to consider going w/our walk ons when we push the 12TH MAN narrative so hard.

May need to take a break from the Rant for a while, much like twitter its not real life. Not one negative has come to pass from the opt out that I have seen, recruits damn sure didn't care.

Well let's see, we got LSU's quarterback, one of their top 3 commits, their highest remaining recruiting target and the head coach they really wanted.
But some people on the internet feel like pussies because some other people on the internet were mean to them.

Yeah Wake would have won against us. I'm not that upset about missing out on a bowl. Just not looking forward to the off-season.

Lol what I said has nothing to do with anyone being mean. It's my own personal opinion. LSU is gonna play with less people than the school who brags about a student suiting up for a game.
