Per multiple sources, Texas A&M football operations/bowl prep shut down since Saturday due to a Co-Vid outbreak within the program, mainly consisting of vaccinated athletes. Team has been meeting via Zoom since Saturday and multiple positions have been hit particularly hard.

Sounds like the bowl game will be a disaster if we actually play

between all the opt outs and transfers, running Bost out as the starter, and the 10am start time odds are it was already going to be a disaster. This is just the icing on the cake.

The only positive to the game was the extra practice time for guys coming back, now that isn't even happening. I couldn't imagine what the mood would be around the program if not for the current recruiting class, be glad when 2021 is finally over.

It's the new "Xin Pubes" variant.

This will be a case study in whether young, healthy people have to worry about Covid. My guess is no. Nobody will get particularly sick. Probably won't play the bowl game. And then there is the herd immunity thing for next year.

This won't play well on the SEC Rant.

Agree totally, ready to get 2021 behind me in terms of Aggie Football. Extra practice time is one of the biggest benefits of these lower tier bowls and now we dont even get that.

Anything to talk about something besides our #1 recruiting class, rant is getting really stale with all the whining about it.

I think it fun to witness the exercise in hysteria that is the SEC Rant. I like to mix it up with those guys for fun.

I'm not around much anymore because of just how bad it's become. I spend most of my time here on the team boards, usually can have a discussion or get questions answered there without all the bs.

So do I, currently. Only got tested because I was going to see family. Honestly just thought it was a cold.

Meh.

Check this out, folks.

PERFECT comment on the situation and not a single wasted syllable.

Seeing such a perfect comment calls to mind the words Shakespeare, when Polonius is reporting to the king and queen about his observations of their son, Hamlet.

Polonius
My liege and madam. To expostulate
What majesty should be, what duty is,
Why day is day, night, night, and time is time —
Were nothing but to waste night, day, and time.
Therefore, since brevity is the soul of wit,
And tediousness the limbs and outward flourishes,
I will be brief. Your noble son is mad.

Tbird is, thus, a master, yet Polonius is not.

?

We only have 13 defensive players healthy and zero QBs available for the game.

I mean, if the numbers they’re throwing around are true, only 38 players available or whatever, what are the administration supposed to do?

This is a lower tier bowl nobody cared about anyways, it’s not a big loss. The only loss is extra practice time and apparently we weren’t having that with Covid anyways.

Don’t let the rant goad you into thinking we’re in the wrong, plenty of other sec teams have had canceled games as well between this year and last.
