Everyone is going to start going the route of incentive based contracts. Now the amount per incentive may get crazy high but if you win the NC you deserve it imo.
I see a lot on Twitter of people mentioning LSU may do this with their next HC and I notice no one really mentions or maybe they don’t realize that’s how Elkos contract is structured. I’m sure after this season he’ll get a healthy bump in incentive payouts (amount) as he should. But I believe that’s going to be the theme moving forward. Base salaries will still be pretty dang high as is the nature of the coaching environment but we won’t see too many more 50+ million contracts being handed out. At least I don’t believe we will

I’m not making a thread for every basketball game, that’s pretty ridiculous.
I know we’re gonna lose some games this season but to see some points on the board will be exciting to see!

I know we’re in the full swing of football, but the Bucky Ball Era has begun tonight. I’m not going to make 1000 threads for each basketball game this season but I believe they deserve at least one thread to discuss them and their efforts this year.
I’m excited for Bucky ball, higher scoring games will be fun to watch. Especially compared to what we’ve had the last few seasons under Buzz. Bucky also seems very bought in to the culture of A&M. I get “culture fit” is over used and probably overvalued but I do consider it a + when added to great coaching. I don’t have overly high expectations for this season given how quickly this roster was thrown together but I’d like to be at or above .500 in conference play and let the chips fall where they may!

Would it be cool to win an SECCG? yes it would. But I won’t be even slightly sad if we miss out on that game.
